This book is filled w/ “inspirational” tidbits designed to encourage healing from pain, growing past that pain, and finding a way to love oneself. It made me realize that you do need to love yourself more before you can love another and to also let go of what is bringing you down. When we’re planning for marriage, we want to set ourselves up with the skills and knowledge to be sure our relationship will last.

He must have really listened to women because his understanding of our deepest desires is so sensitively captured in his poems. I really enjoyed how several sections could be applied not just to heartbreak but other difficult events in one’s life. The way the book is broken into 3 different sections and allows for reflection is amazing, it really causes you to reflect and ask yourself questions.I’ll never find a guide, only realisation and a slap in the face to raise my hand and say guilty to a few of these quotes.
