About this deal

Yaw. This is "directional instability" in nautical jargon. If you are using an edge guide, it can grab and release and cause the saw to sort of jiggly-yaw around and gives a rough edge. Total Tools reserve the right to terminate or amend the price guarantee policy at any time without notice. For Further Information I have two methods for guiding my cuts. I have an 8' shooter board made from 1/4" plywood with a 3/8" aluminum bar screwed onto it. Run the saw along the bar and it cuts the plywood to the exact offset of the saw blade. Now you can align that edge with your mark and you know exactly where the cut will be made. If the edge of the plywood gets messed up, or if you are about to start a new project, just move the aluminum bar over 1/4" and re-cut the board.

Saw blade run-out. This doesn't affect the straightness of the cut, but makes those ripply saw marks in your edge. A quality saw in good condition exhibits very little run-out.The Accu-Cut™ is easy and intuitive for a novice to use, but robust enough for professionals. Because it eliminates the need to keep the saw straight and manually guide the saw along a cut line, the Accu-Cut™ is ideal for less-experienced users. I've cut plywood and laminates and slatwall, etc. without a table saw for decades. I've made cabinetry and retail store fixtures and on an on. I have found that there are multiple ways that the cut can get messed up: Our helpful chart breaks down each of our guided cutting optionsso you can find the one that's right for you.

I have to say the Kreg Accu-Cut system is pretty neat. There are a lot of times I try and free cut along a line. Sometimes it comes out straight, other times it looks pretty bad. The times where I really need to make sure the line is straight, I always set up a straight line. I take my level, make the proper adjustments for the width of the shoe, clamp down the level and make my cut. It works and I never have too much of an issue. Wobble. The saw itself must all be tight and stiff. Surprisingly few expensive saws even meet this requirement. It's the first thing I do when looking for a new saw. Wiggle the shoe and see how stiff it is. But another form of wobble comes from what the shoe is resting on. If it slides directly on the board, that's good. If it rests on top of some sort of guide, there is the possibility of wobble. Making straight cuts can be difficult when cutting down plywood and other large material. Our Straight Edge Guide offers and intuitive and approachable way to break down sheet goods. The Straight Edge Guide comes standard with a 48" cutting capacity, with a 24" extension available. The Straight Edge Guide XL is also available with a 96" capacity. These guides work with both left- and right-hand saws, as well as jigsaws and trim routers. Total Tools reserve the right to change or withdraw free delivery at any time. Estimated Delivery TimeframesThe Accu-Cut™ solves these problems. The Accu-Cut™ is portable, too, so you can take your saw to the workpiece and cut with precision, rather than having to handle heavy sheets on a table saw. To get high-quality cuts with a circular saw, a guide is essential. A circular saw is a super handy cutting tool for your DIY projects. It's not a complicated tool - once you understand the parts, the controls, and what they do. Some people think it's difficult to get a straight and accurate cut with a circular saw. you can get great results, though, with the help of a cutting guide like the Rip-Cut, Accu-Cut, or Accu-Cut XL.

The Rip-Cut simplifies breaking down sheet goods as it rides along the edge of the sheet to ensure straight, accurate, and repeatable cuts. There's no need to measure and mark layout lines thanks to the edge-guided design. This guide allows you to rip continuous lengths of plywood up to 24" wide. The Universal Sled accepts left- and right-hand saws and is also compatible with the Kreg Accu-Cut and Accu-Cut XL. Poor measurements. Be more careful. My saws have a blade that is offset 5", exactly, from any fence that the saw is guiding from. When it comes to making your woodworking life easier, Kreg is one of the forefront companies with their jigs and more. Kreg has been known to create quality and easy to use jig systems. They find a woodworking process that is rather complicated and design a way to make it easier. So it’s not a surprise when they ended up creating a system to make long cuts straight and accurate. With that said, let’s take a look at the Kreg Accu Cut Review. Kreg Accu Cut Review – Overview

Plans for your next project

With the Kreg system, it’s much easier than my level method, plus I get a clean smooth cut. The pads on the bottom do a great job holding it in place when I make a cut. Circular saws dont have effective guides that keep them moving straight along a cut line. Plus, it can be difficult to see the blades cutting path. Together, these things make it challenging to keep a saw on your desired cut. Circular saws also often cause splintering of face veneers. The Accu-Cut solves these problems. The Accu-Cut is portable, too, so you can take your saw to the workpiece and cut with precision, rather than having to handle heavy sheets on a table saw.
