If you like the genre, this isn't too bad. But if you don't have much free time on your hands, I'd recommend to skip this. But as the story progresses you notice more and more that this is indeed a different story than Questism. Because every plot point from Questism is amped up to eleven here. Bullies in Questism are a little reasonable? Well here they are not. In Questism there is a meeting of some Bully Gangleaders? IRL Quest features a straight up council held in a secret place with votes and everything. Questism has 1 Waifu? IRL Quest has 2! And MC doesn't need to grow in IRL Quest, he's average looking from the start. Even the art seems to be a little more refined. Which was wondering me, IRL Quest reminded me more of "How to fight" than Questism does (probably because MC has the same Haircut as Hobin). And if MC rejects a Quest in IRL Quest he doesn't lose his powers - he gets brutally tortured by the system instead. Other readers call her "sus", but in the first chapter we got some inner thoughts of her, so I assume she's a good girl at the moment. She went to the same elementary School as MC, but doesn't seem to remember him. MC remembers, but that doesn't stop him from simping for her regardless. That one girl from his class or Kim Shi Weol - She is the reason you want to read this. Yep, this is one of those stories where the FL is way more interesting than MC. She's the estranged daugther of some rich dude, good looking, smart and all that stuff. She's also different from the other girls - because she has light brown, almost red-ish hair. And there is a reason for it, too - she got turned into her gaming character as well, and has been for quite some time. She forms a party with MC and they do the Quests of the system together. She wants to win a certain event to get the reward - a wish. While she told MC that she wants to wish for a harem of K-Pop idols, it's pretty clear that there's more to it. While she has parents (aka not uncool), those only exist but don't seem to care for her. Even if you can estimate MC is going to win in a particular fight, you'll still wonder HOW he wins. Imo it has been a good read The severity and extremity of the incidents have increased in the series. The series’ main character endures facial makeovers to reflect his character development after many difficulties. Yes. At least if you manage to suffer through the permanen second hand embarassment you experience every single chapter up until at least chapter 15. Even if MC gets some Ws, he always manages to make a clown out of himself. Partly because he has to use suboptimal abilities, partly because he is an awkward guy. But that's the Charm of it as well. If you read Lookism or How to fight and liked it, you will like this as well. Yeah. Although said as a joke, it has a lot of similarities with Questism, but after a few chapters you notice that they go in different directions. It's also true that this has everything Questism has, but a tiny bit darker, edgier or more dangerous. The bullies are tougher, the quests are more dangerous, the fights are way more over the top and I dare to say the art is a wee bit better as well. Also the double Waifu, while both of those girls seem more interesting than the one in questism. But that's also what makes this story more unrelateable. Everything is so over the top that you can barely relate to it. That's why I consider this more as a dark comedy and Questism more of a wish fulfillment. But over all, both are great stories. Fans of the popular manga series Reality Quest can look forward to the release of Chapter 106 on Oct 06 2023.
