About this deal

Here’s a side by side comparison with the Tiana minidoll. One of standout features of the minifigure version is the inclusion of dual-moulded arms, which have Tiana’s yellow gloves on both hands, which look really good, and something I’d love to see on the minidoll version. She features a brand new wig, which is an accurate representation of Tiana’s hairstyle, and looks great from the side. While Dr Facilier is a great companion to Tiana, I just feel like he’s not iconic enough of a villain to include in the Disney 100 series, and Tiana would be perfectly fine solo, like Aurora and Pocahontas. If you’re a Disney fan, you are absolutely going to LOVE this series, and I think the Disney 100 series ranks incredibly highly amongst all the other licensed Minifigures Series that LEGO have given us, and especially appropriate to celebrate 100 years of Disney. How to find one: Feel for Patch, which is quite lumpy, and confirm with the D-shaped tile for her foxtail purse. Cruella also has an inner plastic bag, which should feel crinkly.

Cruella is one of the most iconic villains in cinema, and her minifigure is just brilliant, as she’s dressed in her yellow fur coat, with a delightfully sinister make-up heavy face, and two-tone hair. For accessories, Pinochhio comes with Cleo, Geppetto’s goldfish which is printed on a trans-clear minifigure head. Another excellent addition to the LEGO Disney minifigure collection is Cruella de Vil, the fur-crazy villain from 101 Dalmatians, who makes her LEGO debut in minifigure form.

I was particularly impressed by her side leg printing, as well as arm printing for her armband tattoo. She comes with a printed compass tile, and a selection of leaves, to represent the leaves that swirl as she belts out Colours of the Wind.

How to find one: Feel for Tiana’s dress piece, which has one curved end, and a flat surface on the other (which narrows down to The Queen, Aurora and Tiana), and confirm with the 2 x 3 tile. A deleted scene that is present in the supplementary book The Science of Big Hero 6, bonus DVD and the manga Baymax reveals that Baymax was presented at the showcase with Fred and Tadashi by his side, and whether or not Baymax was still inside the building when it exploded is left a mystery. [12] And to tie everything together, the Queen of Hearts has an incredible alternate face with a dismayed/angry expression. This is such an expressive face, and I can see many minifigure photographers, or customisers making great use of this face. Not keen on the modern ones. Was Coco and Big Hero 6 even that popular?? Same with Princess & the Frog, I haven't heard anyone mention that since it came out."X-ray vision: His scanning abilities also include X-ray vision. This allows him to detect fractures and can send the diagnosed images to other devices like cell phones. Moreover, the character's two facial expressions are superb, accented with accurate lime green eye shadow and pronounced cheekbones on both sides. Cruella de Vil's bright light yellow coat is similarly stunning and benefits from a lovely fabric piece around her shoulders, featuring a fur pattern to match the printed texture across her torso and legs.

So concludes my Disney 100 Minifigures feel guide and review. In fact, so concludes my feel guides in general. Blind bags are now a thing of the past. Overall, I am not thrilled with the Disney 100 Minifigures. I know that will be an unpopular opinion… sorry to all those of you who were really waiting for this series. But from my personal perspective, the character selection wasn’t the best and the execution isn’t always great. I like a handful of the characters quite a lot, but I would not have collected this entire series had the LEGO® Group not sent it to me. Of course, this series follows on the heels of Series 24, which is one of my all-time favorites, so it’s hard to compete. What do you think of the Disney 100 Minifigures? While the Cruella blind bag contains a number of elements, I found her to be one of the more non-descript characters that was a bit harder to identify. She comes double bagged, but so do a number of other characters. The blind bag also contains a dalmatian puppy, but it is inside the second bag and hard to identify. However, Cruella’s hairpiece feels like it has two buns on it. This threw me off because I imagined them being behind the head and I could not think of a character in the series who would come with buns. As it turns out, they are Cruella’s tufted bangs. Finally, the blind bag comes with a 1×1 tile which is rounded on one side and square on the other. It is hard to find, and Baymax also comes with this element, so be careful using it as an identifier. How to find one: Pocahontas’ large hairpiece has a very distinct shape, with the windswept part feeling flat, with ridges on one side. You can also feel for the three leaves which litter the bag. Baymax attracted particular attention when these Collectable Minifigures were revealed, not necessarily for the right reasons. This famously chubby robot from Big Hero 6 does not seem entirely appropriate for a conventional minifigure, despite using specialised arms to recreate his inflatable body. These are only partially successful, in my opinion.
