Although some of the characters got on my nerves at times and the plot wasn’t as strong as I wanted it to be, I just had a blast with this group and I can’t wait to read more about them. plot - the plot is meh during this book (they literally fight, drink, and have sex 24/7) but the ending sets up a really nice direction for the story to go in. Twists and turns, so much left hidden and not revealed, the frustrating thing with that is god my anticipation levels have spiked up for the next book! Especially because I feel like so much happens in the last 15-20% I didn’t know where the story was going and when it ended I had to sit and think for a moment. I had a note early on that said “Poor Rhodes…” and a few moments later “I rescind that, he needs to take 2 chill pills and calm the eff down,” and honestly that kind of mood fits for him across the book.I mean, we've seen The Exiled in the future already so how much could there really be before the craziness of Emerald Lakes? I especially felt for Palmer, who is a pawn of a greater power and has been dropped into a game she does not yet understand and still manages to kickbutt. Rhodes was definitely giving me Sloane vibes with his alphahole attitude 😤😤 and I didn’t even like Sloane until the middle/end of Book 3 in Emerald Lakes.

Demons In My Bed is a dark and dirty reverse harem paranormal romance that gives a nod to Emerald Lakes but can be read as a standalone series.She reminds me of a friend and that makes me feel like I know her even more than I really do from just one book. It’s just so pretty 😍 it’s partly what drew me into this book 😂 plus I recently read the emerald lakes series by Britt Andrews and absolutely loved them!Learning about Palmers history aswell is not a nice read, especially as the book goes on and can only hope that the trouble stirrers don't get their way! Honestly hard to find a release date and it had a kickstarter for the duet… So weird there’s no actual date for release. Demons In My Bed exceeds every expectation and brings the dark crazy out to play in the neon lights. I needed the comfort of a familiar book this week and I'm glad I chose the audio of Demons in My Bed. However, it doesn't take long for Palmer to see that these powerful Demons have more to them, lurking just under the surface of their dangerous and violent acts.
