I liked a lot the way of how Dan Brown proposed his idea of the finding of alien life, since it can be easily the way as it will happen in real life. On the eve of a United States presidential election, NASA discovers a meteorite in the Milne Ice Shelf containing fossils of insect-like creatures, seemingly proving the existence of extraterrestrial life. While not as grand or ambitious as Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code, Deception Point is, in the words of Publishers Weekly, “an excellent thriller. The woman was attractive, in her mid-thirties, wearing gray, pleated flannel pants, conservative flats, and an ivory Laura Ashley blouse. I was so angry and anxious throughout most of it, all in a positive way, because of the conflicts and constant stop/start to switch storylines.

The Polar episode climaxes with a murderous attack on the scientists and the daughter of the opposition candidate. The writing style of Dan Brown is fantastic and I enjoyed the whole experience of reading the book, even more since in some novels you have a very good main plot but some dull secondary plot and/or scenes that you feel "dragged" when you have to read those chapters, but in my personal experience with the novel, I enjoyed to read the whole book with all its plots. Because of his ego, he does not take computer security seriously and chooses weak passwords for his computer. After sharing his discovery with the rest of the team, the four remaining team members are attacked by the Delta Force soldiers.It is the politics and the problems that are caused by it, the disintegration within the society and the conflicts, of course, to reach the summit, whether in a good or bad way. The discovery of the meteorite therefore becomes part of political powerplay in Washington and Sexton's daughter who's working for the NRO gets caught up in it.

I am a huge fan of NASA, maybe an indirect result of being a fan of Star Trek, I don´t know, maybe even it can be due to being even before fan of Lost in Space and Space: 1999. This morning Toulos was busy -- a cacophony of clanking silverware, espresso machines, and cellphone conversations. Clearly the senator's classic good looks had not skipped generations, although Rachel Sexton seemed to carry her blessings with a grace and humility her father could learn from.It was a well thought out plot with great character development, but I wanted more out of the novel. Built by Lockheed in total secrecy inside the famous Hughes Mining Barge, the Sea Shadow is the nautical equivalent of the F-117 “stealth fighter. Her father, Senator Sedgewick Sexton, is a presidential candidate who is more popular than incumbent President of the United States Zachary Herney. When Rachel informs her of the fake nature of the meteorite, Tench attempts to hush it up before being killed by Pickering's death squad. I like that the plot moves around in scenery from the Arctic to Washington, DC and a few points in-between keeping the action flowing and the characters moving around instead of being static in one place.
