About this deal

I felt for Allegra as she sought to understand the '5 people in your life' saying, and how she reached out to those she admired in the desire to learn from them.

Then one day when she’s giving a Ferrari owner yet another ticket, he tells her that “you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with” so the people she spends her time with must be losers. Allerdings glaube ich, dass durch die langsame Erzählweise diese Geschichte nicht für jeden sein wird. It sounds like a very light-hearted title for this emotional story, but it actually fits wonderfully. First, if you are a feminist or really consider how Allegra came into the world ,you will see that it is completely wrong for a professor to have a relationship with a student. It is so beautifully written that the reader is drawn into the same quest to reach a level of self belief that allows one to feel comfortable and happy in their own skin. Ebooks fulfilled through Glose cannot be printed, downloaded as PDF, or read in other digital readers (like Kindle or Nook).

There are some parts where it is hard to follow the thread of the conversation and know who‘s speaking. It's left me in tears 😭 such a brilliant story and it was refreshing that the main narrative was not around girl falling for boy.

I also wish we could have learnt a little more about some characters, but it didn’t matter so much, there was just something about it that I thoroughly enjoyed. Cecelia Ahern does raise sensitive themes throughout the novel but there is no great amount of space given over to them. While this doesn’t impact Allegra’s narrative much, I would have liked to know more about those subplots. The incorporation of a lovely romance for Allegra adds a delightful dimension to the plot, enhancing the overall feel-good aspect of the story. So when a stranger tells her that everyone is the average of the five people they spend the most time with, it opens up something deep inside.
