About this deal

If the coatings on this particular model don’t allow for high light transmission levels in this area of the spectrum but rather focus on the red then overall apparent brightness will not appear as good as other models. The 45mm versions have ED glass within their lenses and a magnesium chassis, whilst the compacts use aluminium for the chassis and do not have ED glass within the objectives. The technical development and design of new and innovative optical products began later in 1979, when Rolf Bresser (Josef's son), took over the business. In my experience it is greatly dependent on barrel diameter and the width of the gap between each of the two bridges. The chassis of the binoculars is argon-purged, waterproof and submersible up to a depth of 1 meter for 30 minutes.

Ideal long-range terrestrial and astronomy binoculars, these 15x70 Bresser Spezial Astro SF binoculars combine a fully multi-coated optical system with quality BaK-4 Porro prisms and a tough water and fog proof aluminum housing that, in turn, deliver a quality of view and user experience that is well above average. turns), turns buttery smooth and has to my taste a very good resistance, not too tight, not too loose. Precision-built and housed in a tough rubber-covered body, the long eye-relief Nautic Binoculars with its built-in digital compass are waterproof and fogproof, perfect for sea or land with fully-coated lenses for bright, sharp images even in poor weather and low light. these compare well against other 42mm binoculars (especially mid-to-high end ones) and you can immediately notice the difference when you also pick up the 8x56 Pirsh ED which weighs in at 34. On top of this the Binocom 7x50 CLS and 7x50 GAL binoculars also have a built-in illuminable 360° precision compass to help with navigation and the 7x magnification power makes easier to achieve a relatively steady image during rough sea conditions. In low light conditions the other model didn’t perform at the level I expected though in regular daylight conditions it is notably brighter than the Bresser. The Luchs are Bresser's top of the range binoculars that are also known as Bresser Lux Binoculars in some markets.

As I was once educated on light transmission curves, manufacturers can customize, to a large extent, which areas of the light spectrum they want to emphasize by selective application of anti-reflective coatings. They’re neat and straightforward, and perhaps the biggest compliment you can pay the design is that you really don’t think about it when you’re using them – you can start using them straight from the box without having to think about anything else. Waterproofing keeps them safe against leaking water bottles, trips aboard a vessel, or even living along the coast, where fogging and fungus can be a unwelcome result of beach life. The high-quality BRESSER Condor series is extremely versatile binoculars - waterproof, nitrogen-filled and handy. Unser breites Sortiment umfasst: Ferngläser, Nachtsichtgeräte, Ziel- und Präzisionsoptiken, Überwachungskamers sowie Spektive und Fernrohre. The BRESSER S-Series 8x42 is a roof prism binocular with a magnification of 8x and an optical aperture of 42mm. Anyway, I mapped out the boosted resolutions with the objectives stopped down to represent pupil diameters for different light conditions. The compact roof prism binoculars feature a 42 mm lens that lets in sufficient light, allowing you to carry on observing until twilight.

For my money, there is certainly no deal-breaking weakness on this instrument, but perhaps Bresser could include a toughened, oil/water phobic coating to the outer lens surfaces, or if they do, they should tell us about it! Because the FOV on the 8x56 is not bad, you don't feel the view is in any way particularly narrow when looking through it and if I gave you one to look through and then a few minutes later swapped it with the other, you would most likely not notice any difference. It certainly isn’t a stellar performer in every optical area and yet I find myself liking this binocular more and more every time I use it. When you want to observe animals or the landscape from a fixed position, simply secure the binoculars to a tripod via the tripod connection thread. I would not rate it at the same level as the Bushnell Excursion in this area but somewhere between the Bushnell and the Sightron. Here the difference was probably a little easier to see, but even so, I would still say that a good quality 8x42 like this Bresser Pirsch ED can hold it's own in very low light. If someone handed you this model and removed the brand name and exterior markings and asked an educated bino-consumer what they thought of the fit and finish I wouldn’t be surprised if they said “very good” to “excellent”. I cannot focus the outer edges, so it is not sharp from edge to edge but the fall of is gradual and this makes that the edge softening isn't distracting. The Porro versions have a tripod adapter thread and can be easily connected to a regular photo tripod.
