It was such a nice book because it is so funny, especially when the main character(Joe)’s dad embarrasses him at school! Having started from humble origins, Joe’s father is now a billionaire, and Joe has everything he wants, except true friends. The story revolves around a boy named Joe, who has many reasons to be happy, well about a billion of them in fact. The two of them have everything they could ever want, such as an orang-utan butler, a bowling alley, a cinema, and servants.I loved it read it ready got through it quick so many amazing story’s so thanks to David walliams who is the author that wrote the book. David and Tony have worked on six bestselling picture books together, and nine of David s phenomenally successful children s novels. It’s funny and heart warming but it also sends a message to us all, rich or poor, it tells us that even if your rich, the money doesn’t matter, it’s whether you are happy or not and what people really think of you, for who you are.

I found this book funny and very good, but I found it quite childish and unrealistic in parts – it is for a young age group, but it was a light and funny read, which is great for younger readers wanting comedy, fun and a little bit of real life, this book is good. Personally, I plan for my son to read 50% contemporary books such as this, and 50 classic novels such as ‘The Enchanted Wood’ etc. She takes plastic surgery to look young again after Joe lends her money to 'fix' her limping posture. They help us to know which pages are the most and least popular and see how visitors move around the site. Walliams’ books have achieved unprecedented critical acclaim and it comes as no surprise that countless broadsheet reviewers have compared him to his all-time hero, Roald Dahl.I would like to read this book to my kids and they have said that they have read a lot of these books but they haven't read billion boy.

In 2008 David’s first children’s book The Boy in the Dress was published, illustrated by Quentin Blake. This book is good to read and will certainly help to increase your child’s vocabulary and use of adjectives, adverbs, conjunctions and verbs. The contemporary books give my son access to the language he would expect, and most likely uses most. Since the publication of his ground-breaking first novel, The Boy in the Dress (2008), Walliams has seen unprecedented growth with global sales exceeding 45 million copies, and his books translated into 55 languages.David began his publishing career at HarperCollins in early 2008 with his debut novel, The Boy in the Dress, followed by Mr Stink in 2009, Billionaire Boy in 2010 and Gangsta Granny in 2011. A hilarious, touching and extraordinary new fable from David Walliams, number one bestseller and one of the fastest growing children’s author across the globe.
