Every design is printed on to Etching Cotton Rag 315 GSM art paper, and 285 GSM semi-gloss paper (for photography prints). John Tenniel used the cat breed "British shorthair Tabby" as the inspiration for his drawing of the Cheshire Cat. Also a perfectionist himself, Tenniel completed 42 drawings for Alice’ Adventures in Wonderland and 50 for Through the Looking Glass. And now her beloved cat, Alice, has started running into the street when cars go by, trying to get run over.

The author skillfully delves into Tess's journey of self-discovery as she navigates this extraordinary gift, which adds a touch of mystery and intrigue to the narrative. After the confusing and useless visit Alice gets lost and encounters him again and the Cheshire Cat directs her to The Queen of Hearts for help, but before she goes he warns her of The Queen's evil ways. In Wonderland, Cheshire Cat is the "Guide", an important role that makes him feared by the other residents, and is compelled by Ariko's inner will to help her unlock her suppressed, traumatic memories and overcome her suicidal depression.Soon after that Alice falls down the rabbit hole and waves goodbye to Dinah who almost falls down the rabbit hole as well. Overcoming grief is one of the overarching themes of the novel and although the father and daughter get there in the end, it is a tough journey with plenty of bumps in the road.

Alice encounters him in the woods and asks for directions back home so he directs her to the Mad Hatter and March Hare. Her father is in his own state of grief and unable to tend to Tess, and her beloved cat Alice is causing trouble. This is an emotional, hopeful middle grade story that presents themes of grief and some of the ways it is outwardly manifested. The heartbreaking loss of Tess’s mother and her father’s grief, which causes Tess to nickname him “the Zombie”, forms a poignant backdrop for the story.I wish I reached out earlier, the floor was ruined and cost a lot of money, but it’s not always about the money, to understand the reason and knowledge how to solve it the cat problem, is that counts the most! At one point, the cat disappears gradually until nothing is left but its grin, prompting Alice to remark that she has often seen a cat without a grin but never a grin without a cat.
