I do like the new setup, being able to adjust individual room temps from a phone or tablet is super convenient. I have underfloor heating throughout at home, which responds more slowly than radiators, but still benefit from setting the main rooms to be heated when we use them rather than the whole house being on or off at the same time. Smart TRVs show the temperature in degC making it much easier to set the room temperature and trust that it is accurate. Some of the system radiators use generic 32mm TRV bodies and old Myson 28mm TRV's with third party metal adapters, they all work perfectly.

Now I’m going to disappoint some of you as I can’t put an exact figure on the savings for me as I have heating oil in a tank in the garden making it difficult to measure usage and the app here doesn’t help as I’ve just realised you can’t go back more than 3 months.

After lurking here and investigating, Evohome seems way too expensive and actually Drayton seems even better to me. I have 24 months of data at 5 minute intervals for each zone and can easily see how often the boiler fires up for heating or temperature variations over the day.It feels good quality, and since a firmware upgrade mid way through last year, they’ve been even quieter than they were previously - not that that ever bothered me. Discuss tips on features, updates, installation, and how to get the most out of your Wiser products. I'd appreciate any thoughts on this and what peoples experiences have been that do use smart TRV's on all their radiators. Conversely, the main "home" wireless stat is currently set at 19 degrees but indicating an actual temp of 14 degrees, yet the heating doesn't come on. For example some of the Tado TRV adapters are quite large and thus come with pin extenders to enable the TRV to push the valve properly.

However, the heat from my radiators never really transfers to the thermostats, and the eternally brilliant Sam on my discord forum helped me identify some 1.

It works for us that when another room hears the living room is also heated, being as it’s the room we spend most our time in. Do I have to put a smart thermostat on all radiators or should I not bother on the hallway, and maybe the bathroom? The app doesn’t help as I’ve realised you can’t go back more than 3 months - Drayton you need to fix this. And you can see this in action - how Wiser takes into account the thermal efficiency of our homes and the outdoor temperature to tailor our heating - by looking at the heat reports in the Insights section of the app, and these do go right back to when I installed the system. BTW I have no affiliation with Schneider/Drayton, but I believe objectively the system's plusses outweigh the negatives by a significant margin.

Personally I wouldnt use a room stat without a smart TRV unless you don't use any smart TRV's but then you are missing out on the control that a smart system provides.Should I cut my losses and send the Drayton Wiser TRV's back and wait until NEST bring some NEST compatible smart TRV's out?
