If there is a tie (whether one team has 2 of each type, or both teams have two of the same type), then each team calculates their score with each positive marker being worth +1 point and each penalty marker being worth -1 point. The more clues you get throughout the course of the game, the better you’ll be able to infer which number a certain clue may refer to. Also It's not big or clever to try and cheat the system" ~ For clarity Ian tried to throw off the other team by giving clues at random, this did not pan out for us!Our group definitely enjoys trying to guess the Keywords at the end of each game, and we do this whether or not we need to do so for the tiebreaker. The discussions between teammates can get quite animated around here, and that aspect is one of the best parts of the game for me.

I will explain the 4 player version but as a 3 player you only lose one element of the game that does not detract from the feel of the game. To set-up, the two teams must position themselves on opposite sides of a table and put four keyword cards in the slots on their screen board – once they’re behind the red screen the scrambled patterns on the cards will miraculously display a word.Maybe they’ve guessed it’s “Summer” or maybe not, but they never even need to guess the exact words, they just have to build up enough information to guess the other team’s codes based on the clues they hear. What Laser Drive does is it puts an extra layer of challenge onto the base game of Decrypto and, in the process, adds a new way to score. Their teammates would surely guess that they’re referring first to the fourth word, then the third, then the first and, lo – 4, 3, 1?

Decrypto is a "scramble communication" game: you must give clues to your teammates that are precise enough, so they can understand you, but vague enough, to make sure your opponents don't get the message. Decrypto sounds so knee-curlingly boring that when I try to explain it I doubt my own ability to advocate for board games.To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. However you can use public domain and know that the other team might not have a clue about the context. I also enjoy how it gives a subtle nudge to players who may have frozen up when trying to think of a good, yet vague, clue. There are others eavesdropping on your messages, and if they can decrypt your clues, well, you’re going to be in an extremely bad way. The main differentiator is that your teammates can see the Keyword in front of them on your team’s Screen.
