About this deal
I'm not a vintage fragrance collector; this review is for the recent iteration in the wide cut glass bottle.
I get the Waft/Close Up thing from Organza, problem being that I like the waft from that more than the close up. I really like it - it has a nostalgic scent to it, it's reminiscent of the black and white film era. The gorgeous, compact 50ml bottle is the ideal size to keep in your handbag while you’re on the go, and its stunning design means it’ll look fantastic on your dressing table or nightstand. The higher the concentration of oils, the longer your scent will last, and the less you should need to apply. It took me to the 1950's and I'm an adolescent girl in a pink dress and bow, pony tail and putting on make up and lipstick, perfuming my skin and doing my hair up in a French twist for the junior prom. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item.
I feel like the only person who doesn't get Chanel No 5 from this but it's an entirely different fragrance to me. One little touch of that creamy perfume stays on my wrist for over 7 hours, just like I put it there 20 minutes ago. It smells sweet and rather delicious, in the manner of L’Heure Bleue, which in turn was emulating Coty’s own L’Origan (more on that relationship soon, I hope): not entirely gourmand, but both floral and edible at the same time.
Right at the first hit, I got a whiff of the signature Coty powder puff, like I had experienced with L'Origan years ago.
