Millie doesn’t disclose the day’s details concerning Nina, and she and Andrew sleep together in her room. if you’ve read this book, then please tell me you know exactly what i’m referring to🫣i would’ve 100% fell face first into that trap😩i loved millie’s character a lot. AND IF YOU HAVE READ THIS BOOK, PUT DOWN WHATEVER YOU’RE READING AND GRAB ANOTHER FREIDA MCFADDEN BOOK!The next night, Millie overhears Nina raging at Andrew about how a younger woman would make him happier.

As the story progresses we learn the marriage between Nina and Andrew is far from perfect, there’s tension and a lot of history simmering. As in, "I spent 7 hours cleaning the house and I thought about Andy Winchester's bangin bod the entire time. This story has truly captivated me, and I can't wait to see where Millie's adventures take her next. Nina has no agency at all, she's only good to be rescued by her super-hot, muscled, Italian stud, and even Millie shows no initiative at all up until the very ending.She gets the jobNina welcomes her to the family she is delightful at first but Nina has a dark side that when you cross her things start to go to hell. Read both books in under 2 weeks because I was so into it, would have been sooner if I didn't have stuff to do, or work lol!

We know next to nothing about Millie for at least 60% of the novel…so why are we supposed to care about her? I am still reeling … outstanding … If you love a top notch psychological thriller that will have you questioning your own sanity , then this 5 star read is for you . Andrew pacifies Nina and, once she leaves, offers Millie the tickets; she has no one to go with, so Andrew accompanies her. i was worried that i was going to dislike this book simply because it’s been awhile since i’ve read anything other than romance, but i absolutely loved it.

After a whirlwind courtship, they marry, but she soon learns that he has hidden sadistic tendencies. When she gets hired by Nina and Andrew as a live-in housemaid/nanny she believes she has found her dream job. Not wanting Millie to bear the consequences of something she tricked her into doing, Nina asks her to leave. This book is filled with plot twists and when you think you have it figured out, there's further reveals. I enjoyed the narrator and being able to go back and forth between the book and listening to it in the car.
