I have the perfume version and I can tell you that yes, it smells like vanilla extract on one hand and like cough syrup on the other.
I get chocolate with hint of fruity scent at the beginning and then it dries down to a bit powdery vanilla chocolate. This smells just like NESQUIK Chocolate Cocoa Powder before you mix it with milk-like if you put your nose right into the container.When I sniff my skin up close, I can detect a subtle hint of spices, and what smells like the tiniest hint of cocoa butter lotion (which might be a great thing to layer with this -- it feels like they would blend well together).
Choco Musk is not just a fragrance; it's a delicate dance of sweet shades that captivates the senses. It’s compared to Chocolate greedy which I own and although they have the same idea…I don’t believe this is an exact dupe. While some gourmand scents are best reserved for certain seasons (usually, cooler weather), Choco Musk seems to adapt to high temperatures. Everyone thinks I smell like chocolate cake, chocolate cookies, anything with chocolate I've been pleasantly accused of, and I have to tell them it's just a chocolate oil, much to their shock.

The delightful aroma begins with the chic allure of white musk, falling under the spell of incomparable white chocolate. Lasting power is abysmal unless you let it sit for a few months, but honestly I never actually end up getting to do that because I love it so much, it's always gone so soon. The lasting power on my skin is pretty awful though but on clothes lasts all day for me or until I wash the garment.
Performance on this again is BEAST as this has monstrous projection and lasts 24+ hours on my skin ! In fact when I sprayed this the first time I sprayed 4 times and my whole apartment smelled like cookies.
