These bulky headphones aren't very portable, have bad noise isolation performance, and their boom mic isn't detachable for a casual look.

Vocals still sound natural and my ears adjusted to the character of the mids after just a few songs. This works very well, and if you have ever used over-ear headphones that don't adjust here, you'll know that this can help immensely. However, both the piano notes and the finger snaps in the beginning have enough high frequency edge to let them retain presence against the bass, and provide some texture to the notes. Wide padding under the headband matches the material, and ensures that the headset never feels too tight on the head. Unfortunately, we noticed that each time we used our unit's mic, it started at a low volume, and we had to adjust the volume accordingly.On the plus side, they have a detachable audio cable, so if it gets snagged on something, it won't pull the headphones off of your head. Unfortunately, they also don't block out the low rumble of bus engines, and they leak audio at high volumes, which can annoy others around you. They don't block out any of the low rumbles of bus engines and don't do much better with mid-range noise like voices.

The ear cups have that classic boxy Astro style…but they don’t have as much room inside them as the A40 cups do. The PC version we tested has red accents, the PS4 version has blue accents, and the Xbox One version has green accents.Its stereo sound isn't quite as vast as you'll find in surround-equipped options, it's certainly not the glitziest headset around, and you're always bound to a controller or device with the wire. They have a wireless design and a more comprehensive control scheme, including controls for channel mixing. On the other hand, the A10 have a better-sounding microphone, and their wired design means you don't have to worry about battery life. They're also incompatible with Astro's Command Center software and lack sound customization features, like a built-in EQ or presets to help you fine-tune their sound to your liking. As it turns into a deep dip in the mid-mid, lead instruments and dialogue are pushed to the back of the mix.
