About this deal

When tracks are really busy, some male vocals and certain instruments just get overshadowed and left in the background.

I’d say that the closest to the CP100 SS are the CP360 SS, which are a couple of millimetres shorter while keeping the same width. of the time, but with a fair amount of different genres like rock, pop, classical, soundtracks, relaxed/slower-paced. As a last bit, the silicone is actually medical grade, so the added benefit is you shouldn’t have issues with allergies and other adverse reactions.

But one of the realities of life is that things change, sometimes for the worse and (thankfully) sometimes for the better, and man did my perception of silicone tips change when I discovered the SpinFit tips. This sense moves along up the treble region ( David Carroll - Hell’s Bells) where I think people who enjoy more energetic signatures will like the Zero, but to me and my library I can’t fully commend it, as it has some more energy than I can take, leading into a volume dial down. However, if you are mainly looking for technical performance, you may skip this set, Zero is not for you. I'm not disappointed with the listen at all, especially after EQ, which the Zero takes surprisingly well to. As for sound, my impression is that they are quite neutral and I can’t hear significant differences compared to other tips like the CP100.

The bigger drivers handle lower frequencies better, adding impact, texture and authority, but being incapable of having the needed speed required for higher frequencies. The upper mids sound about accurate vs other equally sized tips but the treble can have a little extra energy depending on the IEM. Living in Glasgow, Scotland but born and raised near Milan, Italy, I got the passion for music listening as a legacy from my father and my grandfather. COMFORT, ISOLATION, AND FITThe Truthear Zero are very comfortable due to their pseudo-custom shape, and they offer good isolation. I unfortunately had to swap the hefty but otherwise excellent DZ4 cable for the Tripowin Zonie, as the connectors on that one were too stubby and were prone to popping out. This makes the inner bore stiffer, plus it also makes it easier for it to grip earphones’ nozzles and therefore offers more stability. The more secure the fit, the better your isolation will be, but if you go with something that’s too snug you’ll risk damaging the eartips when you take them on or off. These are two different beasts when compared to the Zero, given their warm signature vs its drier presentation. The closest tips I can think of that work for my ears consistently are the Azla Xelastic tips that shape to the ear with heat.
