The Dell 34 Curved USB-C Monitor (S3423DWC) does a fine job as a combo productivity and gaming monitor, although as noted earlier, there are better choices if your focus is either task. I know it’s a budget monitor but the color smearing is very visible in normal day use, even in the super fast overdrive setting.

Of course, as we all mention in other posts, a VA panel often makes better use than the others of a good brightness ratio. Most monitor manufacturers offer three years of coverage, as Dell does for many of its other displays.
If issue is covered by warranty and not resolved remotely, technician or part will be dispatched, usually within 1-2 business days following completion of remote diagnosis. If the manufacturer chooses a VA panel for the display like Dell did for this one and decides not to put a lot of emphasis on display brightness, there’s a good chance it’ll have lower brightness than average, which is a major drawback. When we talk about those panels in an equal measurement, assuming both are mid-range ones, the IPS is the one that comes out ahead. Switching from 16:9 to 21:9 is truly awesome, with the extra real estate on your periphery really giving you a more immersive, wraparound window into the game world.

Unlike the stand of the majority of ultrawide displays, the dell s3422dw one includes two options of support: tilt and swivel.When it comes to having a good cost-benefit and features that are way better than what you’d expect, those are literally the best. The menu contains the regular brightness and contrast settings, as well as more color settings than most monitors offer, but there's no gamma setting, which is annoying. Their products range from regular electronics for the masses to the dedicated hardcore gaming products that are under the Alienware brand. It is, however, not as great of a value proposition, costing a bit too much compared to similar competitors.
