Sterilising anything your baby regularly puts in their mouth can help prevent thrush, so sterilising dummies and bottle teats is a good idea. Treatment with benzocaine products such as Orajel Mouth Gel may mask symptoms associated with more serious conditions and may therefore delay appropriate treatment. Mouth ulcers are painful sores that appear in the mouth and on the tongue that can be highly uncomfortable.

An allergic reaction (burning, stinging, itching and/or a rash) or skin Irritation may occasionally occur. The manufacturer says that the gel has a passionfruit flavour, which we struggled to make out, although the gel doesn’t taste unpleasant.
