Watching them meet and trying to ignore their attraction because they couldn’t be together and fight for each other was a real delight. Both characters has a lot of self work and healing to do but their love for each other was magnetic.

I am such a sucker for a playboy whose entire life changes once he meets the right girl, and that is exactly what this beefy book is all about – I absolutely loved it! I was also hooked on both characters – the infuriatingly arrogant (yet immensely appealing) Zanders and the strong, fierce Stevie, who battles insecurities about her curvy figure.

Although she can criticize herself at times, she shines throughout the book by flaunting her positive attitude and learning to be more confident about her own skin. The way Zanders loves Stevie through his insecurities and the way Stevie loves him through her grudges on the past is so good. It was a big part of how Stevie sees herself, and seeing Zanders use his therapy techniques to break down her walls and reteach her the importance of self-esteem was the most romantic part of this story. The feelings take longer to simmer, the hero is more emotionally mature (he’s been working on himself in therapy for years! I was also drawn in by the instant chemistry between these two, the way Stevie kept Zanders on his toes, and how he just couldn’t seem to stop himself from getting closer.
