The Gigabyte M27Q X proves itself a sweet-spot monitor, thanks to its 240Hz refresh rate and QHD resolution. The Gigabyte M27Q-X also supports MBR (Motion Blur Reduction) via its Aim Stabilizer Sync technology, which uses backlight strobing to reduce perceived motion blur at a cost of picture brightness. The MSI monitor was a bit weaker for factory calibration, but has no HDMI issues; and neither does the Samsung variant. The downsides to the X27q are that the contrast ratio isn't great, though no different to other budget monitors like the LG 27GL83A and Dell S2721DGF; and that the color gamut isn't as wide as today's best gaming monitors. Outside of the AW3423DW, the next best option is getting an OLED TV for gaming like the LG C1 or C2 series, or its many derivatives that use LG OLED panels.The results are excellent for motion clarity, even when this uses an IPS panel which used to lose to TN monitors in this regard. The backlight of the monitor is flicker-free (unless Aim Stabilizer is enabled) and there’s an integrated low-blue light filter. The monitor also has a built-in KVM switch, allowing you to control two PCs connected to the screen via the same keyboard and mouse. The 27-inch monitor sports thin bezels on three sides of the screen, while the Gigabyte logo takes up the bottom strip, giving the monitor a utilitarian design.
