The reason for this is that conventional flasher relays work by detecting how much current is being drawn by the indicator bulbs. Plug and play, even for a Caterham novice I got my indicators working immediately, and it’s future proof for the (inevitable) upgrades to LED lamps.If you fit just rear LED lights and get them flashing correctly you may need to change the resistors for different value ones if you then late additionally upgrade the front indicators. They look the same but have different components inside and the casing is made from an inferior plastic.

You will be the importer of record and responsible for any import VAT and duty that needs to be paid. If your regulator looks like the one below and has 8 pins then yours is the type with a built-in flasher relay.As the difference in wattage between LED and standard indicators is generally quite large, it is recommended that you will need one resistors per indicator that you are changing. Maybe you only want to change your rear indicators to LEDs and leave the front indicators standard, or you're struggling to find the right LED relay for your bike.
