About this deal

It is a colorant that is applied to leather that makes it appear as if the leather piece is older, and worn with age.

Many factors will influence timing, so be sure to check the instructions with the specific dyes and prep chemicals that you are using. We use 16 base mixing colours, these mixing colours are primary, secondary and shade colours which can be mixed together to achieve any colour to match the leather being worked on.Leather Protection Cream is applied with the use of a clean cloth; simply take the cloth and add a small amount of Protection Cream, as shown. Stains on light leather are more visible than stains on dark leather; this does not make either stain a joy to clean.

Always choose acetone-free nail polish remover, however, as the acetone is too abrasive and can damage leather’s structure. This will keep your leather looking and feeling like new for longer, and will extend its functional life significantly!

Each types has it’s own performance characteristics, so use would depend on personal preference and the specific project on which they’re being used. When dried, it will result is a smooth, durable, shiny surface that provides a fair amount of protection for the underlying leather. Leather Dyes are lighter and consist of smaller sized molecules which make its composition a lot more soluble than that of stains which is larger making its composition less soluble and as a result, stay on the surface of the leather. Test A Small Area: Before trying any cleaning solution, test it on a small, inconspicuous area of the leather to ensure it does not damage or discolour it. Step 5 - If using alcohol, apply leather conditioner after to prevent the drying of the leather surface.
