About this deal

Anyway, the sidetone level was pre-set too high, I tried a few settings and was torn between off and the minimum…I went for the minimum setting in the end and the problem is solved.

There are cheaper, more premium, wireless, in-ear and over-ear options available…pretty much whatever you want. The ear cups of the Jabra Evolve2 40 have been redesigned to take advantage of the very latest technology. However, if you have devices with different connections types you will need to purchase an adapter separately as one is not included. At the very least, you won’t feel the need to swap to a different headset if you want to enjoy some tunes while working on reports, for example. Both Jabra Evolve2 30 and Evolve 40 have separate versions optimized for Microsoft Teams and Unified Communication, and you can further choose between USB-A and USB-C connectivity. However, you’ll get better performance from other gaming-focused headsets since the Evolve2 30 is primarily a work-focused device. I found the Jabra Evolve2 40 fairly straight forward to install as it is pretty much plug and play, though I had to set it as the default listening device in a few of my apps.

I’m not giving up on Jabra or wires…look out for my review of the cheaper Jabra Evolves 20s which I have bought to replace these. The Evolve2 40 is no exception to that- in fact, it's one of the best corded headsets we've had the pleasure of using. Both have noise-isolating designs that will minimize the ambient noise you’ll hear from your surroundings, further improving their overall sound quality.

It has an effective noise-isolating design that ensures clear conversations and lightweight portability.
