The flavor of the bar reminds me of a really delicious milk chocolate, which is a nice change of pace from most bars that tend to taste more like bitter dark chocolate. A creamy outer coating of white chocolate gives way to a delicious centre of cookie dough goodness with a crispy layer on top plus 20g of protein and 9 vitamins. When I opened up this chocolate salted caramel protein bar, it immediately reminded me of Barebells“Creamy Crisp” protein bar (which I absolutely love). If you’re after salted caramel flavor, this bar will fall short, but it’s still a very delicious protein bar overall. The peanut butter flavor itself is rather subtle, but there is a very strong saltiness to this one that makes it almost unpleasant.

They use all-natural ingredients, including egg whites, rice protein and almonds as the protein source, and mixed candied peels and coconut sugar for sweetness. Although allergens should be stated on the label, anyone with allergies should be cautious about using a new supplement, as there is an obvious risk of cross-contamination in factories.

A cookie dough base topped with a layer of crunchy crispies, caramel and all coated in delicious milk chocolate. They enjoyed the contrast of crunchy-chewy textures, nutty flavour and satisfyingly squidgy caramel centre. Although these bars have the slight chewy texture common to protein bars, it’s not unpleasant, and the chocolate chips add a pleasing contrast in texture. This bar comes split in two smaller segments, which is great if you're tracking calories, nutrients or don't feel you need the whole bar. Some people find protein bars difficult to digest – it’s best to include them gradually into your diet, and see how you get on.The exterior of this bar is loaded up with crispy puffed rice, leading me to believe that this bar is going to have an amazing Crunch Bar-like texture. Increasing protein intake in a form that is palatable and suits their lowered appetite may be effective in protecting against muscle loss. The white chocolate adds delicious sweetness and there's absolutely no chalky aftertaste, which means this bar feels like a treat, not something you have to force down, like some protein products.

While the UK has been graced with 12 different Fulfil protein bar flavors, here in the US, we only currently have 5.It’s a good choice if you don’t want any added sugar in your snack, although it does contain sweeteners maltitol and sucralose. However, those who are either unable to regularly eat enough protein due to decreased appetite or illness, or who have increased protein needs as a result of high-intensity exercise might benefit from taking a supplement. This bar was a firm favourite with our group of tasters, many felt it was the best one we tried all day. They also enjoyed the fudgy centre, gooey caramel and crunchy rice balls – combined these gave the feel of a chocolate bar.

This bar was also the thickest and chewiest of them all, making it eat much more like a traditional protein bar than the other flavors I tried. The interior is soft and fluffy, and the crispies on the outside add a great crunch to the bar, making this eat very much like a candy bar. This is Barebells newest flavour launch, and it’s a winner in our book – a fluffy, slightly chewy bar, studded with caramel-dipped chunks of peanut, covered with a generous white chocolate coating. The “nougat” layer very much resembles that of a very standard protein bar, but the layers that sit on top of it transform this protein bar into something insanely good. For example, if you're looking to gain weight or build muscle, you might want to consider a 'mass-gainer' product that is higher in calories and carbohydrates.Overall, this flavor reminds me a lot of many other protein bars out there (like the Snickers Protein Bar) in both the average flavor and thick, chewy texture.
