Almost every feature in this game seems to have been put in not because it enriches the gameplay, but because other Open-World titles do something similar. Encounters with regular enemies are incredibly repetitive, side quests are as basic as it gets, and the game's systems are unnecessarily convoluted. That said, Kakarot is a long game, clocking in for me at around 33 hours, and by the time I was about halfway through I felt like I had already seen just about everything it would throw at me.

CyberConnect2 did a fantastic job developing the game that showcases the original series’ charm in gorgeous 3D . The cosmic scale of conflict Dragon Ball Super has reached makes me feel like I’m reading Warhammer 40. The overworld is empty and lifeless (and looks terrible) and exists solely because Open World games are all the rage now and your character needs a space to fly around in.
