I did think it was an odd choice to extend the story of the character from the Telltale video games.

Powerhouse creator TILLIE WALDEN takes on the world of ROBERT KIRKMAN’s THE WALKING DEAD in the most anticipated YA graphic novel of 2022. One method this was resolved by was to create the first scenario of the game to put the player in control of Clementine's actions that have disastrous results (the death of one character and being separated from another) as to make the player felt as if they had made those choices and separating them from familiar characters.Lee goes to the hotel to find Clementine held hostage by an insane man who blames Lee for his family's death. The player can either decide for Clementine to leave with AJ alone or be accompanied by the survivor of the fight. As unimpressed as I was with Walden’s comic (because of Spinning I hadn’t bothered looking at any of her other comics, even if one of them won an Eisner - I find awards rarely denote quality and tend to reward politics), I decided to check out her latest, Clementine, Book One, purely because it’s a Walking Dead spinoff (all things considered, I’m a fan of Robert Kirkman’s series - yes there was a lotta crap but also a lotta good). The next morning, The group spot a rabbit, which Ricca give a chase, only to it have taken by the herd of walkers, forcing Clementine and her group escape and cover themselves in walker guts.

Sixteen months later, she and Christa are separated by another scavenger attack, and Clementine joins another group of survivors living in a cabin. Clementine enlists the help of James to do this, and obtains a homemade bomb to destroy the boat after they rescue the others. He, assuming Clementine is only going on a trip, confronts her about leaving without him and demands to go with her, however she refuses to let him come with her and tells him she's not going on a trip. She is revealed to be hiding from the walkers alone in a tree house as her parents had left for Savannah some time before the apocalypse. They get into a conflict with other members of the New Frontier, and ultimately Clementine and Javier are forced to travel to Richmond, a fortified town that has been taken over by the New Frontier.At the start of the game, Clementine is wearing a clean white dress, but it becomes dirty and soiled throughout the game, "reflecting her loss of innocence", according to Sakai. She rescues Javier while trying to acquire a working vehicle and stays with him to help rescue his family at a nearby junkyard. Loss, violence, and trauma have made shaped her into a grim presence, one deeply unwilling to make connections.

While Amos recovers, Left asks Clementine and Ricca to take a portable generator over to another ski lift so they can have more hunting territory.She and Ricca manage to kill all the walkers and then the two lament about how they're suppose to get out of the chasm. C) The whole point of the series was to develop the characters as you see fit so this Clem feels nothing like the original that fans enjoyed. At night, Clementine is sitting by herself, when she is joined by Ricca, who is smoking a cigarette.
