What fell short for me was the various characters that seem to come and go and the reader had no idea to where or why. this is for lovers of true crime, the JonBenet Ramsey case, quick thrillers and multiple red herrings.

Suspicion lands on Krissy when the family gives a disastrous TV interview, and the media response effectively seals the Jacobs family’s fate: The parents (especially Krissy) are negligent, and Jace is a creepy kid with something to hide. The girl on girl relationship for Krissy who longed to live in a big city, yet can’t tell anyone in this small town. Written in a dual timeline narrative, it gives us the 1994 disappearance of a six year old girl and a similar disappearance twenty years later.

You can find ALL GOOD PEOPLE HERE wherever books, ebooks, or audiobooks are sold or at AshleyFlowers. While in Billy’s house, Margot sees a photo of January holding her baby blanket, the one Jace said she was clutching when he found her at the bottom the stairs. Initially when I started this review I was going to give it 2 stars but in good faith I cannot - clearly there were too many things I disliked - I am going to downgrade to a 1.

Krissy thinks about the lost dreams of her youth: Instead of moving to New York City to pursue a dance career, she got pregnant the summer after graduating high school and married the wealthy Billy Jacobs to secure financial stability. If you don’t want to tell someone, KEEP NOTES and make sure there is at least one trusted person who knows your computer and phone passwords. I don’t know what ultimately made her snap, but I do know she was overly invested in January’s dancing, jealous and controlling. And I’m pretty sure there would admissibility issues for evidence that was discovered as part of a break in.I don’t think the cases were similar to January’s case at all - but maybe that was the point I don’t know. By a weird coincidence, I was listening to a podcast on the Casey Anthony case right before I read this, and something stuck with me. Always tell someone where you’re going, especially if you’re going to meet up with ANYONE who could be a suspect in a murder case.

They break in and uncover evidence of Wallace’s crimes: boxes containing personal items belonging to numerous little girls throughout the Midwest, including Natalie Clark and January Jacobs. Her father Billy came home in a rage late one night after finding out from his longtime friend, Dave (the high school nickname of Margot’s Uncle Luke), that Dave/Luke was actually the father of the twins.I thought I’d start a discussion for this book since I finished it and am curious about everyone’s thoughts.
