Regaine for Womenis clinically proven to help slow or stop hereditary hair loss in up to 4 out of 5 people. Regaine for Women Regular Strength is a medicine used to treat common hereditary hair loss in women aged 18-65 years, by preventing further hair loss and helping hair re-growth. It contains minoxidil which is thought to work by aiding the blood flow to the hair follicles on your scalp. Hair and scalp should be thoroughly dry prior to topical application of Regaine for Women Regular Strength. A dose of 1 ml Regaine for Women Regular Strength cutaneous solution should be applied to the total affected areas of the scalp twice daily. The total dosage should not exceed 2 ml. If fingertips are used to facilitate drug application, hands should be washed afterwards. The pump spray applicator must be on the bottle to use the extended tip applicator. Follow steps 2 and 3 for the pump spray applicator first.

Scientists who researched Regaine® believe that it works by increasing the supply of blood and nutrients to the hair follicle. A. Most hair gels and hair sprays are ok to use with Regaine for Women Regular Strength. However if they contain petrolatum (petroleum jelly) they should not be used. If you do use hair products with Regaine for Women Regular Strength make sure you apply to a dry scalp before applying any other products. Minoxidil showed no evidence of mutagenic/genotoxic potential in a number of in vitro and in vivo assays. The patient should stop using Regaine for Women Regular Strength and see a doctor if hypotension is detected or if the patient is experiencing chest pain, rapid heart beat, faintness or dizziness, sudden unexplained weight gain, swollen hands or feet or persistent redness or irritation of the scalp or other unexpected new symptoms occur (see section 4.8). Hair loss is a well-known side effect of chemotherapy. It's also common for women to lose more hair than usual up to 3 months after they've given birth. Hair loss treatmentsN.B. You are unlikley to benefit from Regaine for Women Regular Strength if you have been balding / thinning for many years or have a large area of hair loss. In a study in males, the minoxidil serum concentration time curve (AUC) for the 2% solution averaged 7.54 ng·h/ml compared to a mean AUC of 35.1 ng·h/ml for the 2.5 mg oral formulation. The mean peak plasma concentration (C max) for the topical solution was 1.25 ng/ml, compared to 18.5 ng/ml following the 2.5 mg oral dose. Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignitions sources. No smoking. Do not spray on an open flame or other ignition source. Do not pierce or burn, even after use.
