Prospan® Cough Syrup is a light brown, slightly cloudy syrup. It contains a plant extract as the active ingredient and its colour and taste can therefore occasionally vary. This, however, does not affect the quality of the preparation. In addition to treating coughs, Prospan ® by Helixia ® helps improve the respiratory function of adults with chronic bronchitis. Did you know? If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, consult a healthcare professional before taking Prospan ® by Helixia ®. Active ingredient: Each 5 ml of syrup contains 35 mg of extract (as dry extract) from ivy leaf ( Hedera helix L.) (5 – 7.5 : 1).Indications: Prospan® cough syrup is indicated for use in acute catarrh (inflammation) of the respiratory tract accompanied by coughing and the symptomatic treatment of chronic inflammatory bronchial diseases. Take Prospan ® by Helixia ® for at least 1 week or longer depending on the nature and severity of your condition. It is recommended to keep taking Prospan ® by Helixia ® for 2–3 days after your symptoms have disappeared. Please refer to the above chart for proper dosage by age.
