This relationship can be seen in the Quranic chapter 6: Not mentioned by name, only referred to as a messenger/prophet sent to the Israelites and who anoints Saul as a king. [124] [125]

The Syriac form of rasūl Allāh ( lit. 'messenger of God'), s̲h̲eliḥeh d-allāhā, occurs frequently in the apocryphal Acts of St. Thomas.
