In the sound department, JBL has upgraded the 5.8mm driver in the non-Pro Reflect Flow for a bigger 6.8mm driver here. The resulting sound is bright, offering decent power; overall, it will happily deliver for most workout playlists. JBL uses six mics to help with call quality, and testing in relatively sedate environments, voices come through with a fair amount of detail and clarity. JBL offers several types of wireless earbuds that are suitable for athletes. Whilst they can be used for any type of activity, they are designed specifically for physical exercise. The main feature of sport earphones is that they are water-resistant and sweatproof. If they have a water-resistance code of IPX5, then you are protected from sweat and rain, and with the IPX7, you can even use them in the swimming pool. The flow have very good build quality but its not a premium construction. These earbuds are designed to be used for sports and having a high quality durable design takes the lead over fancy metal chassis’s and bling factor. They are designed t be used hard, most likely in the gym and running (al though they are more than suitable enough to be used in day to day life). Although we have dedicated testing facilities in London, Reading and Bath, the bulk of our wireless earbuds testing happens outside those facilities, whether that's on the street or in our busy office.

Now both earbuds should begin to flash Blue & Red indicating that Pairing has been initiated. After a few seconds, your Left earbud should only flash blue, indicating that your earbuds are now paired with one another. And they're a brilliant option that more than justify their price tag. The buds are impressively small, and their lightweight design and excellent fit make them worth investigating if the standard AirPods don't sit well in your ears. Battery life is competitive at seven and a half hours. Sound quality is tuned not for refinement and critical listening. It is a sports headphone and thankful has the enhanced low end that we needed to power though out workouts. JBL is an excellent company that sells fantastic products. If it’s been within a year and one side of your JBL earbuds/headphones is still not working, they will likely send you a replacement model. They tend to play it a little safe through the midrange, but for a sporty pair of headphones with an IPX7 waterproof rating, they sound very good indeed. They will ask for your JBL earbud model number, which will be on the case. You will be asked to explain what you’ve done. They may even have additional suggestions to try.

This is how the connection process works, once you pair your earbuds to a device, that device is then saved into your earbud’s pairing history memory, allowing them to be paired to that device automatically at times. The JBLs are more neutral sounding than many sport earbuds we’ve tested, resisting the urge to dominate the mix with heaps of bass and instead tuned to offer low frequencies that are well assessed both in terms of quantity and quality. In fact, they’re slightly forward and upfront sounding due to a prominent treble, giving them a fast and lively character that isn’t a negative for sport headphones at all.

You could find a little more finesse in pricier sports buds from the likes of Bose, Sony or Jabra, but there’s ample depth in the bass here and still plenty in the way of detail, which make the Reflect Flow Pro well suited to more uptempo audio or a even a podcast while you run instead. The JBL Reflect Flows are more like it. Their bass is deep and playful, precise and well-balanced, and never falls foul of timing issues. Equipped with a 5.8 mm driver unit, the JBL Reflect Flow delivers clear and detailed sound. It features a rechargeable battery with a capacity of 110 mAh, ensuring a long-lasting listening experience. The earphones utilize Bluetooth version 5.0, allowing for seamless wireless connectivity to compatible devices. It supports various Bluetooth profiles such as A2DP, AVRCP, and HFP. Enabling the ANC with a tap of the left earbud immediately quietens the environment around me, though it does a better job at cancelling out high-pitched hums and hisses (like the sound of my fan) than it does with the tooting horns of cars outside. It’ll suffice for flights and long-distance travel, but don’t expect it to quieten an environment like a loud Central London coffee shop.We all know Bose how to make a great pair of wireless headphones and the QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds have to be considered its finest wireless earbuds to date. The 8-hour battery life (with another 16 in the case) has more juice in the buds than the Apple AirPods Pro 2, and noise cancelling has been noticeably improved. They work seamlessly with both iOS and Android devices, too.

But, unlike these JBLs, they won’t have the finely-honed ergonomics or rugged design that's required to be hailed as ideal fitness buddies. And the only AirPods that come close in this regard are the AirPods Pro 2.
