Inside the box you get a doll of your choice who is dressed in her PJs and sleep mask, all ready for her makeover. There is a little plastic basin which you fill with water to assist her spa transformation Every doll comes with a face mask for you and the doll. We used our little foot spa to pop ours in and it expanded instantly and unravelled. Kids are going to love they have a facemask to use alongside their doll! The clothes come in little re-useable boxes and bags (wrapped in tissue paper) which is always fun to have. There are four different Glo Up dolls that kids can collect, and they all have their own unique goals, personalities, and style preferences, with the intension that they will inspire kids to be proud of what makes them unique. Kenzie – Her style is Hollywood posh. Charming, funny, and unfiltered, she is the first one to say what everyone’s thinking. Music is her favourite way to express her GLO…. well, that and a pair of glam designer boots. When opening the box you will need scissors as the doll is well attached with little plastic ties and it took some to get her out.She hasn’t had any kind of reaction to it, which is usually my first concern with ‘play’ makeup. It has obviously come on a bit since I was young and it would leave you red and blotchy. It won’t stain and is non-toxic. We soon discovered that Sadie doesn’t just look good but is great to play with. Her head moves left and right and up and down, her shoulders and wrists all move along with her hips and legs and her feet all of which make it easier to make her sit, stand and hold her accessories. I also love that her nails react to both hot and cold temperatures rather than just cold. Warm little hands can touch the nails to change the colour or get iced water… I know as a parent which I’d prefer! Another fab interactive unboxing experience the kids can enjoy with every doll is the bath bomb surprise you get, we got a bright purple one. Kenzie’s style is Hollywood posh. I really liked the concept of the doll and that she was dressed in fun colourful ‘age appropriate’ clothes that tween kids can relate to. Her vibe is definitely young and fresh rather than sexy and the colour of her hair and matching outfit makes her super cute! Sadie – Her style is fancy. Review InstaGlam Glo-Up Girls Dolls
Accessories wise , all of the ones we got with this Sadie doll were fab. Adults found the belt hard to close, but the kids didn’t so we are guessing it’s an accessory that’s better suited to little hands. Items that are not available in store will take 3-5 working days (excluding weekends and bank holidays) to be delivered to your nominated store.
The small facemask is wrapped up in the larger one and you need to be careful when opening them so they don’t rip. It is recommended that you use the facemask for 5 minutes then throw it away. My daughter loved popping the mask onto Sadie declaring that they were twinning when she was wearing hers. The doll itself is super moveable, her head moves in a full circle, shoulders, elbows, wrists, and ankles are all moveable, which is great for placing the doll into different poses.Sadie also comes with some awesome coloured hair which does make for some fabulous hair styling fun. There isn’t anything fancy on the face mask its simply material and water, bit fragile to unfold, but at least no need to worry about your little one being allergic to this face mask, its simply designed to be a pampering treat for the doll and the child to enjoy together. It was nice to see that her fun didn’t stop after opening the surprises which can sometimes be the case with these types of toys. She has continued to play Sadie and the accessories although she does tend to bop the PJs over the dress so she doesn’t have to take it off again.
