I kept reading in hopes it would get better and then once I realized it wasn’t, I was so close to the end I thought I might as well finish it. 🤷🏻‍♀️ The series is executive produced by Matthew Carnahan, Jessika Borsiczky, and Stephen Hopkins, with the pilot written by Carnahan and directed by Hopkins. Her fate was decided years ago, when her useless father made a deal with the greedy fae king to save his own life. Now, she is being sent to marry one of the five ruthless fae princes. The only problem is that she is not the first human to marry a fae prince. And like every human wife before her, Jade is going to be killed before she can find a way out. There is much pain and darkness in the house of lies and sorrow, but there is also much strength and resilience. In season 4, it is shown that Roscoe has fallen in with the school burn-outs and has begun smoking marijuana.I finished this book only because I kept telling myself it couldn’t get any worse, and it also never got any better. I’d love it if the author took her time to hone the writing craft and spend some time editing and making things flow (and actually make sense) before publishing.

This book was really hyped up on Booktok and honestly I was pretty excited as the story seemed like it would be pretty interesting, but I was sorely wrong. There are a few things that make this house special. First, it is one of the oldest houses in the neighborhood and has a lot of history. Second, it is very well-maintained and has a lot of character. Third, it is located on a quiet street with little traffic. What is your favorite memory of the house? He marries Sarah ( Jenny Slate) (Season 2) but after he sends her a drunken text message, she cleans out his bank accounts and leaves (Season 4). While I was initially intrigued by the plot, things soon started to make zero sense. The entire thing reads like a very rough first draft, is riddled with typos, and is badly in need of an editor. I was really excited to read this and it got off to a really great start. After the first few chapters I really started to have a problem with the pacing of the story though. The characters weren't getting to know each other and the story wasn't really progressing. It felt very stagnant until the last few chapters which felt rushed.
