About this deal

With this book, Debbie ventures into more personal territory, as it describes her struggles with anxiety and depression. As someone who has taken a long time to be (somewhat) comfortable in her own skin, I, once again, found myself enamoured with her words and her thoughts. Being truthful about the state of our nation and world does not equal losing hope. Hope sees truth and still believes in better. That which dismisses or does not seek truth, but grins, saying "It will be okay," is naiveté, not hope.” — Bernice King Yes, the phrase can carry different connotations depending on context, tone, and situation. It could express concern, signal a desire for information, or indicate a professional query. This phrase subtly reminds your friend that the pain and stress may be temporary. Going “through” something implies that there will be a time when the stress of the situation may be eliminated. 14. “I know you’re worried, but there’s not much you can do to fix the situation.”

In the book Factfulness: Ten Reasons We’re Wrong About the World — And Why Things Are Better Than You Think , Hans Rosling says, “Step-by-step, year-by-year, the world is improving. Not on every single measure every single year, but as a rule. Though the world faces huge challenges, we have made tremendous progress. This is the fact-based worldview.” Everything Is OK is a little ray of sunshine, born out of the author's own emotional arc. It can lean rather far into the saccharine for my cynical heart, but it's all done with the best of intentions. Anyway, what I found when I approached Everything Is OK was a beautifully illustrated and deeply personal story. Some of the aphorisms came across as mechanical, which could just be my cynicism showing. Just because they're expected doesn't mean these are bad sentiments though. Like the title - 'everything is okay.' Revelatory? No. But it comes from a place of honest sentiment. Here are some phrases to consider to offer sympathy to a person who lost a loved one instead of “it’s going to be okay.” 1. “I’m so sorry for your loss.”

Is everything all right

If you could choose to be born at any time in human history, but you wouldn’t know where you’d be born, what your race would be, whether or not you’d be able-bodied, or how much money your family would have, you would absolutely choose the moment we’re living in today.

This book touches on anxiety and depression and the author shared her experience about the issues through this book. Everything she felt during her dark days she shared with us through this book. I loved her approach. I got so motivated by reading this but I also felt sad when reading this one. But at the end everything is just makes me so motivated. This is the kind of reassurance many people need when they lose a loved one. 3. “Your mom was an amazing woman. We will all miss her vivacious personality and wonderful spirit.”Reid, Poppy (6 April 2020). "Album of the Week: Violent Soho, 'Everything Is A-OK' ". Tone Deaf . Retrieved 11 April 2020. As far as we can tell, for the most difficult problems in the world, progress happens slowly and steadily. Valued clients going through tragic situations or crises may appreciate your company even more if you offer support during their times of need. Sometimes the bottom line needs to be ignored, and the company’s leadership needs to do what is right. 42. “Take all the time you need. Your job will be waiting for you.”

I do have reasons for hope: our clever brains, the resilience of nature, the indomitable human spirit, and above all, the commitment of young people when they're empowered to take action.” — Jane Goodall I am a big fan of Debbie Tung's comics. I have read all the other three comics "Quiet Girl in a Noisy World", "Book love" and "Happily Ever After & Everything In Between" Everything Is OK is the story of Debbie Tung’s struggle with anxiety and her experience with depression. She shares what it’s like navigating life, overthinking every possible worst-case scenario, and constantly feeling like all hope is lost.

People are coming together through the Internet to raise money for world-changing organizations every single day. Some of our favorite online communities are the Nerdfighters and Governerds! Coincidence that they’re all nerds? We think not! Show that you are a team player by jumping in when help is needed. If you aren’t sure how to assist, ask what you can do to help. 39. “Would you like me to run the reports for you? Attend that meeting in your place? Etc.” Newstead, Al (12 February 2020). "Violent Soho detail album 5, share new single "Lying on the Floor" ". Triple J . Retrieved 20 January 2021. I won’t count this work as my favourite Debbie Tung book, but I still feel that is a must-read in today’s world where mental health issues are growing more common but are still taboo to talk about. Strongly recommended. Follow this statement with suggestions on how you could help relieve some of your friend’s stress, such as, “Can I drop off a meal to your family those nights you are at your dad’s house?” or “Can I sit with your mom while you take a nap?” Alternative ‘It’s Going to Be Okay’ Messages for a Spouse or Partner
