About this deal

The story, split up into three chapters, follows a Force-sensitive smuggler taken captive by Darth Vader, who requires the smuggler to find an ancient artifact. Visuals, if you play PSVR, you already know. Heaps of aliasing, nice enough character models, flat, barely textured environments. No character body, just hands. To celebrate the launch of Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition, we’re also releasing a Limited Edition Disney Infinity 3.0: Star Wars PS4 Bundle on November 17 (available in limited countries). The player follows a linear path through the game, able to use the Force to do various things as necessary to move forward to the next area. [4] Synopsis [ edit ]

PlayStation 4 1TB Console Limited Edition Star Wars

Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series” is very short, and it shouldn’t take you more than a day to beat it, but while it lasts…wow, is it something. Even if the visuals aren’t the most high-quality things out there, they do look pretty solid, and honestly, the simple feeling of being in VR and experiencing a “Star Wars” game is pretty incredible. At several points while playing, I felt like I was on the coolest amusement park ride ever, and it was just so captivating. The scenery and design of the game’s world is breathtaking and seeing it all in VR is just stunning. And gameplay-wise, the game does feel pretty fun. The lightsaber controls are mostly pretty good, and getting to control the force is pretty compelling, too. And while the story isn’t the deepest thing ever, it works very well for the “Star Wars” series, and it’s nice to see that they took it seriously, despite the game’s short length. Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series is a cinematic, interactive experience that lets you step inside a galaxy far, far away into the role of a smuggler operating near Mustafar, the fiery planet that Darth Vader calls home. You’ll find yourself in a grand adventure where you can hone your lightsaber skills, navigate dangers, and come face to face with Vader himself. Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series is a series of three virtual reality adventure games originally released on May 21, [1] September 25, [2] and November 21, [3] 2019, respectively, for the Oculus Quest and Rift systems. A PlayStation VR version was later released on August 24, 2020. [4] Bankhurst, Adam (September 25, 2019). " Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series – Episode 2 Comes to Oculus Quest and Rift Today". Crist, Allison; Keegan, Rebecca; Gardner, Chris; Howard, Annie (January 18, 2020). "PGA Awards: 1917 Named Outstanding Motion Picture". The Hollywood Reporter . Retrieved March 3, 2023. I've been anxiously awaiting a next generation Battlefront game for years--not just as a casual gamer, but as a Star Wars fan since childhood. I'll raise a little rabble and agree that the omission of Galactic Conquest or a deeper single player campaign is palpable, but that doesn't stop this game from being a really fun (albeit spawn-die-repeat) online multiplayer game. The variety of game modes adds a lot of replay value, as does the points/upgrade system. The only thing we hate is a BIG hate. You can not play old PS3 games on this console. What is up with PlayStation? You can do this with other consoles. I know they want to make money, but this is ridiculous. I don't want to keep 2 consoles. Nor do I want to buy all the same games again. This is a big gripe. HUGE. But, this console is very very cool for Star Wars fans and highly recommended. In terms of my problems with the game, though, I wish there was more. Not just in terms of length, but in the gameplay as a whole. As great of an experience as it is, much of the game is spent watching, and the game does feel a bit light on the gameplay. The great thing is that, once you are in the gameplay, it’s extremely fun, but even still, I wish there was a little bit more interactivity to the gameplay. Also, this is a minor complaint, but holy moly, the gun controls that pop up in the game are atrocious. The other elements are so cool, but the shooting? I hope I never have to deal with shooting that bad in a VR game again.Feltham, Jamie (November 26, 2019). " Star Wars: Vader Immortal Trilogy Review – A Splendid Early Exercise in Story-Living". Upload (company) . Retrieved April 2, 2021. As for the special edition system, I couldn't have asked for a cooler reason to buy a PS4. It's a great collectible for a fan. I paid the price of a standard PS4 and essentially got the game free. The graphics are absolutely gorgeous, and it's no hyperbole when I say I'm living my childhood dreams when I play because of the beautifully immersive worlds and careful attention to the smallest details to place players inside the Star Wars universe, whether players battle on-foot or take to the sky. Adding to the depth of the experience, music throughout the game relies heavily on a remarkable and appropriate original score to complement the standard John Williams fanfare. In Episode II, with the fearsome Sith Lord as your guide, you’ll battle terrifying creatures and uncover ancient secrets beneath the planet's surface and learn to master the Force.
