The advantage from the traveller’s perspective, as LuganoPirate has noted, is the reciprocal club network. Le Club fonctionne ainsi comme un mini hotel, avec comme fonction essentielle l’organisation d’événements pour ses membres: baptêmes, anniversaires, mariages etc.Le Club comporte 38 chambres dans les étages supérieurs, chambres qui sont presque toutes occupées en permanence. l’origine un gentlemen’s club, il compte aujourd’hui environ 3000 membres, dont 300 femmes et 1000 "serving officers". Le CGC est l’un des plus prestigieux club - William et Harry en sont membres et les deux "royal patrons" sont le Duc de Kent et la Duchesse de Cornouailles.
