Da qui l’idea del sito: “L’intento di Reality Project, come dice il nome stesso, è quello di fotografare persone normali, reali e nude, lasciando che il corpo racconti la loro bellezza naturale, senza trucchi o fotoritocchi, in tutte le sue forme e dimensioni”. Chiunque può chiedere di partecipare e farsi fotografare. Reality Project è totalmete autoprodotto, per questo chi vuole può contribuire sul sito (realityproject.net) per finanziare questa mappatura simbolica del nostro paese mostrandone la bellezza naturale. L’idea del progetto è nata per contrastare questo falso ideale di bellezza patinata che ci viene imposto dai media, dove tutti devono essere alti, magri, con la pelle perfetta, gli addominali scolpiti, il seno grosso e sodo e così via…

Per questo sul sito chiediamo anche una sottoscrizione economica volontaria, non per forza a chi desidera essere fotografato, ma a chiunque apprezzi e voglia sostenere Reality Project (vedi il tasto “donate”, Ndr).Who is, in your opinion, the most overrated nude photographer? RP: Sì, tanto più che noi ci auto produciamo e raggiungere set lontani è un problema. Perché noi andiamo a scattare nelle case delle persone e anche se utilizziamo supporti digitali e non ricorriamo né a luci artificiali, né facciamo interventi di post-produzione, esclusa la correzione del colore, raggiungere un abitazione da Milano in Sicilia o in sardegna o addirittura negli Stati Uniti è costoso. Nowadays the aesthetic of beauty is totally standardized, and where doesn’t reach reality, we (over)use photo editing. REALITY PROJECT is born to contrast this distorted view that is imposed on us daily by the media, and to demonstrate instead that the true beauty can be found in every body. ! It is a photographic project that portrays normal people, real and nude, leaving their body to express and convey their natural beauty without photo retouching, in all its shapes and sizes. ! The project, in progress, is an idea of Alessandro Viganò and Matteo Scarpellini, also known as ALMA PHOTOS, two photographers from Milan who always portray ordinary and “real” people. Hence the name of the project. TK:What do you find interesting in experimenting with alternative photographic subjects. Which process you apply for Reality Project?
AP:Each shooting is like improvisation for us. Most of the time we don’t know the subject, nor the location. It’s very exciting.
Each one with their own fears and difficulties, men and women who have never been in front of a camera.
