About this deal

Recording outdoors especially in an open field where the wind blows loudly, the audio experience is not good. The Akaso Brave 6 Plus camera has three field of view options. This is the determinant of the angle of your scene that can be recorded by the camera lens. So many people can’t understand us even when we have in-person interactions. I am baffled constantly by how difficult it is for people to understand us when we say Makepeace. You also have the option to use the Akaso Go smartphone App to do your mode selections and menu access. Connect your phone to the camera via Wi-Fi, open the App, and you’re good to go. AKASO Brave 6 Plus Native 4K 30FPS 20MP WiFi Action Camera

At its core, both the AKASO Brave 4 and Brave 6 can capture 20MP photos and 4k videos. They have different camera sensors and processors but the quality you will be getting on both of these action cameras is roughly similar. You can record high-resolution 4k videos at 24 frames per second or a smoother but lower-resolution 1080p videos at 60 frames per second. Lastly, both action cameras have built-in video output via their micro HDMI ports so you can enjoy the memories you captured directly from the action cameras. This setting is very useful when you want to adjust the exposure value of specific areas in your photos.

The battery plastic door is located on the left side of the camera, and it is fairly easy to open it up. I see a very nice improvement from previous models like the V50X and the V50 Pro which had a little noise in the day time footage.

WDR or Wide Dynamic Range is next on the settings menu, once turned on this setting will adjust the range of brightness to darkness that the camera will record. Action cameras are usually used for outdoor and underwater recreational activities. That is why it is a definite requirement for action cameras to have waterproof capabilities. Fortunately, AKASO included waterproof casing for both the Brave 4 and Brave 6. You will never worry about the occasional dirt and splashes when you are hiking or skiing. Additionally, if you are going on a vacation on the beach, you can take and shoot photos and videos up to 30 meters or 100 feet underwater. Differences between AKASO Brave 4 and Brave 6The AKASO Brave 7 LE is a mixed bag. The design of the camera itself and usability is excellent. The waterproof housing is not a great design but does the job of keeping the camera safe underwater, and once you’ve stuffed some rag in the side it helps improve the audio quality and vibration. This feature is available for Video recording only and is useful for shooting scenes that have large bright regions and a dark foreground. Motion Detection Low-light video shooting is not very recommended as you will get a lot of dark shots. It’s even noticeable wen shooting indoors. I have always used this mode in my trips and activities and I am happy to see it included in this camera also.

AKASO Support - AKASO

Enter voice activation, a feature that until recently could only be found on premium cameras. It’s great that an action camera at this affordable price has it. However, it didn’t well for us. That’s a huge gap right here and it makes shooting videos higher than 1080p useless as the quality won’t change much. I much prefer to use the touch screen than navigate through the settings with the buttons, but you’ll need to do that if you have the waterproof casing on. You don’t have to be a Hero to be Brave – I think that’s where they were going when deciding what to name this range of action cameras. The name is an obvious nod to the signature GoPros, but so are the specs. Especially if we’re comparing the Brave 4 to a GoPro in a similar price range – the Hero7 White.

What I like

This action camera films in native 4K at 30fps, and it has built-in EIS with a 6-axis-gyroscope.That allows for some truly amazing footage, especially if you want to play with all the shooting modes. It has a diving mode, built-in filters, burst, and time-lapse photos, long exposure photos, and slow-motion and time-lapse videos. And I haven’t even named them all. The photo qualities are also good especially at the maximum 20MP, you can always adjust the different settings to find what suits you best. A standard feature for all action cameras is the app, and here AKASO has supplied a fully-featured offering that ‘s available for iOS And Android systems. I always use photo bursts when capturing fast-moving activities and I can say the camera does a pretty good job in this category. The AKASO Brave 7 LE is an OK camera, it can shoot decent quality footage and you have the ability to use the camera without the housing which is a real benefit. But at the price, it still seems a touch too much for a camera that struggles with video quality even at a relatively mainstream 1080p at 60fps.
