About this deal

If there were an advantage here, I’d say it goes to the Poly Sync 20 as it provides 25% more battery life even though it takes 25% longer to charge. Warranty Both of these personal speakerphones have their strong points. The Sync 20 is a very attractive product with a modern technological look. It sounds good, it looks good, it’s priced right and it has a useful USB port to charge your phone. Although the BT600 Bluetooth dongle that comes with the Sync 20 is the same one that comes with various other Poly products, a single dongle cannot tether to multiple devices at once. This means that if you want to switch between the Sync 20 and a Poly headset, you’ll need multiple dongles plugged into your PC or laptop. Performance Though both of these speakerphones look professional, I have to say that the Poly Sync 20 has a more refined look. It’s nicely appointed with a fabric material that covers a good portion of it. The rest of the device is reserved for control buttons. That said, looks will only take you so far, so let’s look further. Bluetooth Version Poly Sync’s 20-hour battery life lets you work on-the-go all day. The speaker’s USB port connects to your smartphone, allowing you to stay charged up and ready for your next move.

Poly Sync 20+: PC via USB-A or USB-C cable (depending on model) or wirelessly via included BT600 Bluetooth adapter; smartphone via Bluetooth Our rule of thumb is to take the stated range, 100 feet in this case, and divide it in half. That would put both of these speakerphones at around 50 feet of usable range. If you use this method, you’ll end up with a more realistic expectation when it comes to range. ConnectivityWhere the Jabra Speak 710 gives you up to 15 hours. To recharge the battery, the Sync 20 takes 4 hours, where the Jabra Speak 710 takes 3. Everyone deserves to hear the whole meeting—loud and clear. Poly Sync 60 USB/ Bluetooth® smart speakerphone is perfect for conference rooms. Voices are the focus, A status light bar glows along the length of the touch control panel when the device is connected to the source. The bar glows blue upon a successful connection, green during calls, and red when the microphone is muted. The same lighting cues are also offered by the BT600 dongle. The Poly Sync 20+ makes for a good calling device when connected to your phone or PC. Callers on the other side report good voice clarity with no perceivable clipping or disturbances. The microphone frequency response is rated between 100 Hz and 6.7 kHz, so do not expect too much of a bass effect in the voice. That being said, the quality is more than sufficient for regular phone calls and online meetings. The added bonus is that the Sync 20+ supports noise and echo reduction, which should result in call quality better than your average laptop or smartphone microphone. Poly Sync 40: PC via combined USB-A and USB-C cable; smartphone via Bluetooth. Poly Sync 40+: PC via combined USB-A and USB-C cable or wirelessly via included BT600 Bluetooth adapter; smartphone via Bluetooth

As our professional lives continue to trend toward hybrid working models, the need to sound professional is paramount. And let’s face it – the audio that comes through your laptop and smartphone isn’t great. Meaning, to sound professional, you’ll need professional-grade communication tools. Introducing the Poly Sync 20 USB/Bluetooth® smart speakerphone, designed specifically for today’s professional – it’s sleek, compact, and filled with smart features you might not even realize you need. The Sync 20+ is built well and is very portable. It is easy to use and requires virtually no setup apart from pairing it with the source device either wired or wirelessly. Using the Poly Lens app is optional, but it does allow you to perform device maintenance and customization.

Case: Well-built with IP64 rating

Further, while it’s handy that the Sync 20 announces when it has connected to and disconnected from a device, and when it has powered down, the volume is set way too high, which can be rather startling if you’re not ready for it. It’s also unclear why the speakerphone isn’t configured to power down automatically as soon as all devices are unlinked. Poly Sync 20: PC via USB, smartphone via Bluetooth. Poly Sync 20+: PC via USB or included BT600 Bluetooth adapter, smartphone via Bluetooth With a good deal of today's workforce increasingly opting for remote work, a good speakerphone that augurs well for collaboration has become essential to overcome limitations in conventional laptop and smartphone audio setups. Hopefully that means something to you. For me, I just want it to work well and sound great. Whichever version of Bluetooth is used, is fine by me. But that’s just my opinion because different versions of Bluetooth could make a difference in the right situation. But that’s well beyond my pay grade. Wireless range

The Poly Sync 20 comes in two different versions – the Poly Sync 20 and the Poly Sync 20+. Both versions include the ability to connect to your smartphone through Bluetooth and to your computer via an integrated USB cable. The Poly Sync 20+ includes the BT600 USB Bluetooth adaptor, which lets users wirelessly connect to their computer. 5 – Portability Meets Durability Both speakerphones are rated to provide up to 100 feet of wireless range. I, personally, think that’s a generous, correction, over generous statement.Because of Poly’s robust software and device management, the Poly Sync 20’s rich audio experience will only continue to get better over time through updates. This sleek, compact device was designed to be flexible – so you can work from anywhere and be guaranteed the best Microsoft Teams experiences. For more information about Poly’s solutions for Microsoft Teams, visit https://www.poly.com/microsoft. Still, the overall sound profile is quite decent. The passive radiators ensure enough bass for casual listening, but do not expect it perform great at very low frequencies. As you can see in our pink noise diagram below, the Sync 20+ can reproduce distinct bass only from around the 52 kHz mark. That being said, the 40 mm loudspeaker augurs well for higher frequencies, particularly the mids and vocals. In this blog I’ll cover the features of both speakerphones as well as I’ll mention the MSRP cost on them as well. General appearance Poly Sync 20 is the smallest member of the Poly Sync Family which also includes the Poly Sync 40*, for flexible/huddle rooms, and the Poly Sync 60** for small to medium conference rooms. Here are seven reasons why Poly Sync 20 is the best speakerphone for working from home. 1 – Unparalleled Audio Quality
