About this deal

Shuffle the 16 Thief cards and without looking, insert into the top of the Clue decoder, The easiest way to do this is to hold the decoder with the window-side down and slider closed. Use your memory to remember whether or not those items were marked "red" or "green" in the Clue decoder. In addition to the Clue Decoder, there is a game board and a range of tokens, cards and pawns in Outfoxed! There is even a fox miniature wearing – presumably to accentuate its guilt – a top hat. All of these components are good quality and visually this is a very appealing game. In Outfoxed!, a 2-4 player co-operative whodunit game, players are searching for clues and revealing suspects in the mystery of who stole Mrs Plumpert’s prized pot pie. No less than 16 suspicious looking foxes were seen in the vicinity of the crime and it’s up to us to find the guilty party before he, or she, escapes down the foxhole. Interestingly, the game is actually designed around cooperative play, with players working together towards a common goal (identifying the thief before they can escape) rather than working against one another.

While some families will certainly appreciate the cooperation and teamwork that can emerge from Outfoxed, others may prefer a game with a bit more competition to spice things up between players. Price Aside from looking pretty fun and offering a nod to the game’s deductive approach, the pieces are made of fairly hard, good quality plastic and feel pretty solid in-hand, so we feel they should stand up to regular use without chipping or damage. The game is fun to play and is highly approachable, particularly for younger kids, with simple and easy to understand mechanics and an assortment of colorful, whimsical pieces and cards to work with. Finding a game that can span all ages is tough, especially for younger players. Zingo is a great game to add to your arsenal that’s fun for all ages. Zingo is basically Bingo with a twist, or “zing” as the game is so aptly named. Each turn sees a player first set their goal, deciding if they are going to move their piece or try to reveal a suspect or gather a clue.Cooperative games are great for younger audiences and families because they allow players to work together as teammates and reduce the emphasis on competition between siblings or kids' and their parents. These games are ideal for families looking to keep family time to good, clean fun without any potential meltdowns or sore losers.

Close the slider and then end your turn by placing the Clue marker face up on the space where you landed. The decoder will reveal a green dot should the clue card match the suspect and a white dot should it not.If it's red, that means that you have found a clue, as the thief is wearing that particular item. If it is green, that means that the thief is not wearing it.

Similar to Bingo, players try to cover all the spaces on their Zingo card with tiles, which are the same format as the tiles: a noun with its name underneath. Tiles and cards feature both images and words so it’s helpful for younger players, especially pre-readers and early readers, by helping kids learn how to use, spell, and read different words. The first player to cover their entire Zingo card yells “Zingo” to win. Further, the game involves the careful gathering of clues and some deductive reasoning, which can be a bit challenging for kindergarteners as their reasoning, abstract thought and sequential logical skills are still developing.
