About this deal

You're now set up to transfer images to your computer wirelessly. To upload new photographs automatically as they are taken, select on for network > options > auto send in the setup menu. You can choose to send both RAW or JPEGs or send JPEG only, and you can also start and stop video wirelessly. More options can be found in the camera's options menu under network. Haven't tested it for very long time, maybe I just didn't get the right settings. Does anyone have had similar experience as mine?

Thank you! I actually found an old Pixel TW-283 remote release I had and bought a DC-2 cable for it and it works perfectly. Should you think you have the need for a remote control, and you have a compatible camera, I would highly recommend the ML-L3 remote control. It works great and is simple to use.

Before using the remote control for the first time, remove the clear plastic battery-insulator sheet.

Unfortunately, that dongle port is useful for other things so to occupy it with a wireless remote dongle or a wired shutter trigger dongle is a waste.

Cameras with a 10-pin connector can be set up to be a 'master' camera, so when you press the shutter button on that camera body, the remote cameras paired to it will all fire simultaneously (up to around 50m away). In flash modes that support red-eye reduction, the red-eye reduction lamp will light for about one second before the shutter is released. In delayed remote mode, the self-timer lamp will light for two seconds, followed by the red-eye reduction lamp which lights for one second before the shutter is released. For one thing, I have Foolography Unleashed, which uses a bluetooth dongle to trigger the shutter as well as send GPS data and also intervalometer functions. The Nikon ML-L3 features a one button simple design. It uses Infrared (IR) to transmit to the camera for the desired shutter release. The ML-L3 has one simple button for shutter release. It does not have the capability to press it half way down to autofocus. Instead, it autofocuses just before it fires the shot. It is extremely handy for group shots, or times when you do not want to wait for the timer. Most of Nikon’s DSLR provide the ability to fire it directly or with a short 2 second pause / timer feature. I don't represent myself to be a remote (or battery) expert, but as far as I can tell, the difference between the CR2025 the ML-L3 comes with and the CR2032 I had won't make a difference here. Perhaps in a watch with very tight fit tolerances you might go awry, but in this rather loose fitting tray, it's fine. At DCW, we test a huge variety of photo and video equipment, from cameras and lenses to essential accessories such as camera remotes. Our team of imaging experts takes products out into the field to test them in real-world shooting scenarios, and for camera remotes, looks at specs like camera compatibility, connection options, connection reliability and physical size/weight. We use our reviewers' findings to inform our comments in buying guides. Camera remotes: five things to consider THE FIX.... I folded the aluminum foil I used for testing and placed it in the indention as shown in figure 5.
