About this deal

Electric spiralizers form a relatively new category and, as the manual type come in a variety of shapes, there was little precedent in terms of design. Resembling a downsized coffee percolator, the Spiralizer Express requires fruit and vegetables to be fed from the top towards the blades, so there’s little pressure needed. The ribbons collect in a beaker below, compacting in swirls – no need to constantly empty it if you’re prepping a large batch. Use a spiralizer to make delicious gluten-free oven fries, seasoned with salt and pepper or smoky barbecue spices - 1 of your 5 a day A large-capacity bowl means you'll be able to make bigger batches. However, the bigger the bowl size, the more space it’s likely to take up in your kitchen. It’s also worth bearing in mind that bigger bowls can be more of a faff to clean by hand or may be awkward to fit in the dishwasher. Easy to clean, simply rinse under running water. For easy storage the cutter blades can be fitted inside each other and placed in the Spiraliser beaker. Features: Food processors are designed to take the hassle out of food prep tasks and save you precious time in the kitchen. But they can vary massively in price, size and what they can do – and we’ve found some can be more of a hindrance than a help.

Full-sized processors usually come with a diverse array of attachments and can handle an impressive range of tasks. Most spiralizers come with changeable blades for everything from thin curls to chunky ribbons, so you can create more than just spaghetti-like vegetables. If you want to experiment with different vegetables and shapes or make salads with intricate garnishes, those extra blades will come in handy. Ease of cleaning What makes this spiralizer particularly stand out though, is its design. The soft-grip handle makes it easier to hold onto slippery ingredients, while the self-aligning blades ensure ingredients are spiralised and grated evenly. To top it off, spiralized ingredients falls directly into the container underneath, making prep and clean up bundles easier. All food processors come with a knife blade for basic tasks, but some models come with even more attachments. We've seen blenders, citrus juicers, dough hooks, grating blades, mills, mini bowls, shredding blades, slicing blades and spatulas. The earthiness of beetroot complements the sweet yet tart plums and toasted pecans in this side salad. Pair with lamb for an autumnal feastPros: Come with a wide range of accessories, can handle most cooking and baking prep tasks in one machine, some come with a blender attachment, larger capacity – ideal for processing bigger amounts The Express is essentially a one-function food processor, with a taller chute. Yet I’m horrified by how easy it is to use. A switch trips the revolving, hidden blade. Gravity helps guide the veg to an aesthetic death, streamers of beet purling tub-ward, like blood in water. I depress a courgette, dribble oil, and create a healthy dish in seconds. Manual models often leave sizeable, unspiralized vegetable stumps. Not so here – after the action, one is left holding an acceptably small knob – which is a good thing. Spiraliser Express is great for health-conscious chefs, as you can fill your meals with nutrient rich vegetables. You can enjoy spiralised vegetables and fruit either raw or cooked within a dish of your choice. Create a simple Courgetti bolognese by swapping pasta for courgette spaghetti, using the dedicated spaghetti blade. Spirals In Seconds

With a good spiralizer, you can easily turn a courgette into courgetti, sweet potato into curly fries and peppers into a tasty salad garnish. There’s not much you can’t do with a good spiralizer and for some reason, spiralized food manages to taste just so much better. This extra-special vegetarian starter is bursting with contrasting flavours and textures, such as spiralized pear, crunchy roasted nuts and creamy cheese
