About this deal

If you're using your induction stove, you probably already have some cookware that works with it. Probably the simplest (not so elegant, though) solution would be to simply put your aluminum Moka pot in a pot or pan that you know will work with induction. Traditional Moka pots do not work with induction stoves. Thankfully, this problem isn’t impossible to work around if you love your morning Moka. It simply requires you to adjust your approach, understand ways you can adapt your pot to an induction stove, and the types of induction-style Moka pots on the market. For example, you might be able to use a stainless steel Moka pot on your induction stove. If your stainless steel Moka pot has been mixed with other metals, such as copper, your Moka pot should work fine. If your Moka pot has not been mixed with enough other metals, it might heat unevenly because some parts of the pot will get hot while others will stay cold.

If you do own an induction hob and you have your heart set on one of these then there is now the induction heat saucer that will act as a traditional electric stove. A Moka pot cannot gain that amount of pressure so coffee is ground coarser and the boiling water in the lower chamber is forced upwards through the ground coffee resulting in brewed coffee in the upper chamber.Simply put, aluminum is not a magnetic metal. As a result, it will not work with an induction stovetop and will not heat the way magnetic pans do. This problem is very frustrating for many Moka pot owners. -What about those stainless steel Moka pots?

Aluminum is chosen because it is light, retains heat well, and does not rust. Typically, the whole construction of the pot is made primarily of aluminum, though there are some variations. The steam wand comes with a cafe-style two-hole steam wand, allowing for easy steaming of up to six ounces of milk. The brand recommends steaming at around one to one-and-a-half bars of pressure and being sure to purge it after use to keep it clean. Honestly, I’d rather use a frying pan I’ve already got than buy a heat diffuser but it’s entirely up to you, if you do decide on a heat diffuser then the above one I linked to is excellent. 3. Use A Sperate Gas Stove The unique handle reminds me of a traditional Turkish coffee pot that you would sit on an open fire.
