About this deal

Keys are somewhat even, as Korg’s NH action feels to Yamaha’s GHS action as featured on the P-45. I recommend testing both out to see which you prefer. Static noise from the speakers is pretty common in audio equipment (I’ve received similar comments about many other digital pianos). The noise is most likely coming out of the internal amplifier used to power the speakers.

This allows teachers and students to play alongside for easy reference and is quite effective, especially for one-on-one lessons. The license created by this agreement is personal to you and you may not assign or otherwise transfer your rights or obligations under this agreement without the prior written consent of Korg. The sound of the onboard speakers is an important consideration, but we’d suggest you compare these in person. In our testing, Korg and Yamaha’s speakers sounded fuller and more lifelike than the Casio. All three of these pianos include a range of instrument sounds to play with, but focus primarily on acoustic piano. A particular standout was the Korg B2’s Italian Grand which sounds both warm and dynamic, suitable for a range of styles from pop to classical. Be sure to watch our video comparison to hear how these pianos sound and decide for yourself which one you prefer.

Korg's no-nonsense digital piano offers fantastic sounds but lacks in features

This same system of pressing the ‘piano play’ button and holding a note down together at the same time can also be used to change other settings as well, such as the speed of the metronome, the amount of chorus and reverb, and transposition. The system is very simple to use if I want to switch sounds. I am able to switch from the Ballad Piano to the Stage Electric Piano in a second. On the other hand, the feature is quite frustrating if I’m looking to speed the beat of the metronome up. It would be much more convenient if Korg had built in a separate controller for the metronome. And lastly, the Korg B2 has an app called Korg Module. It is an app for iOS, and it has a high-quality library of sounds that you can plug it into the USB to Host port.

Sampling: This digital piano emulates the sounds of the German concert piano which is a Bosendorfer concert grand piano. Korg shall not be obliged to provide support services for any Third Party Software supplied (whether relating to operating methods, defects, or otherwise). The other downside of the Korg B2 is that it doesn’t have a battery slot on it, so you have to use an AC adapter every you use it. The response can be modified on the front panel of the keyboard, and you can choose between 3 preset levels (light, normal, and heavy). These criticisms were pretty widespread too, so Korg has taken most of them into account when designing the B2, B2SP, and B2N. Many of the problems have been resolved and I can confidently say the B2 is a vast improvement over the last-gen B1.Also, the Korg B2 has a maximum of 120 voicesof polyphony, in line with the other competitors in this price range. If any part of this Agreement is found by a court of competent jurisdiction or other competent authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable then such part shall be severed from the remainder of this Agreement which will continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
