About this deal

Coulthart believes that the government's secrecy about UFOs is a disservice to the public. He argues that the government should be more transparent about its knowledge of UFOs, and that it should conduct a serious scientific investigation into the phenomenon. I've thought long and deeply about how to review Ross Coulthart's "In Plain Sight". It is a book I never would have imagined myself reading a couple of months ago. Then, following creative differences with Executive Producer David Maples, USA Network made the decision to use the season's 15th episode, the first part of a planned two-part season-ender, as the show's season finale. [5] Series creator David Maples and co-producer Paul Stupin subsequently stepped down as executive producers at the end of season two, although they remained as consulting producers, and were replaced by John McNamara. [6] Todd Williams and Lesley Ann Warren's roles were changed to guest stars, and a retooling of scriptwriting was designed to place greater emphasis on Mary's cases and less on her personal life, while retaining its character-driven storytelling. According to USA executive Jeff Wachtel, the shift in producers also reflects the network's desire that the show remain upbeat rather than overly dark. [5]

Blink 182's Tom DeLonge's extravagent claims (for better of worse lol), and for more time than was worth, IMO, UFO/UAP and related topics have certainly attracted a good number of interested persons for a long time, but lately has begun to attract more mainstream attention, myself included. As much as this book was hard reading in places, it was a fascinating insight into the predatory mind of Jimmy. How he constantly craved to be the centre of attention, whether through his fundraising or attending someone's wedding or funeral in garish clothing, to japing around to get himself noticed.

That's where my intellectual empathy with the book ends. The book's logical structure is obnoxiously circular. The author starts with a conclusion and proceeds to assert series' of untestable qualititative evidences. He consistently utilizes appeals to authority by presenting testimonials of people who have long titles in the US government (which is ironic because he also eludes that people with long titles in the government are liars and attempting to cover up "real" quantitative evidence. I suppose they are all liars except the ones who support his premise.). Finally, the author attempts to reinforce these untestable premises by asserting that no one can prove the negative. He occupied such a big part in successive generations' lives. From our parents' generation, he was someone who sat at the epicentre of the nascent British pop scene when it exploded and took over the world. He described it as being like the cork on the breaking wave. He was right there. He pioneered playing records in dance halls. He was hosting, arguably, the biggest show on radio for pop music. And then he got Top of the Pops.

In the end, we’re still left with questions, conspiracies, and mysteries. I’m unsure where I stand entirely on the matter. Do I believe? I don’t know. But what I read is compelling enough to entertain the ideas…and I admit it: I WANT to believe. What is clear is this…there is much adventure to be had, and the universe holds great mystery for those open to the possibilities. I suspect that some answers might be closer to home than we imagine. In Plain Sight was an enthralling read. I highly recommend it. The deadly crime spree the book covers began in January 2013 when attorney and Justice of the Peace Eric Williams shot and killed Kaufman County, Texas Assistant District Attorney Mark Hasse as he exited his car in the courthouse parking lot while Kim Williams waited in the car for him. Then, two months later, Williams, with his wife again in the car with him, drove to the home of District Attorney Mike McLelland, 63, and his wife Cynthia, 65, and shot them inside their house. They were found dead from gunshot wounds on March 30, 2013. Lambert, David (December 1, 2009). "In Plain Sight - Season 2 DVDs Come Out of Hiding for the USA Network Series". TVshowsonDVD.com. The author has also spent time with Savile’s victims, giving them a voice which will stay with me. It was quite an insight.
