I too prefer the Harry Potter books as that’s what I grew up with as well, but the movies are special in their own right. The Harry Potter advent calendars so far have a main theme that links all the gifts. In 2019, the surprises where referring to the first year of Harry Potter in Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In this Harry Potter Advent Calendar 2020 the main theme is the Yule Ball, happened on the Christmas 1994 during the Triwizard Tournament. But hey, it’s great that Harry finally has his wand, which is 11″ long, made of holly, and possessed a phoenix feather core. Nothing too fancy here, and it’s a break from the tradition of getting a Harry Potter minifigure on Day 1’s window like previous years.On Day 15, we get yet another Gryffindor Ravenclaw – Padma Patil, who was Ron’s unfortunate date to the Yulr Ball. Padma Patil is featured in her Yule Ball dress – a magical take on a Sari to pay homage to Padma’s Indian heritage and culture. Welcome to another year of Advent Calendar Countdowns! For 2020, I’ll be counting down with 3 Advent Calendars – Harry Potter, Friends and the annual Star Wars Advent Calendar countdown!
