About this deal

Musical Moments (19 clips, 46:19 total) - Think of these as song chapter selections; all of the performed songs and only quibble is that it seems mixed a few decibels lower than reference level, which includes the LFE channel, but listeners most will find this to be a Dialogue, starting with narration, is delivered distinctly from the center channel and mixed perfectly balanced, with zero need for any volume adjustments to be made throughout. Sound effects get mixed into the front and rear channels, not just the height channels (again, as mentioned) and it creates one massive audio experience here. Again, fitting for the person the film is about. it's entertaining enough for a watch and may score stronger with the late legend's most devoted fans, but Elvis wears out its welcome sooner

Luhrmann's direction and the film's editing, there's just too much wrong (or at least off) to ignore. moments without necessarily feeling overcooked, and regularly reaches into the rear and Atmos-exclusive height channels at opportune moments. My Paramount Paramount's Senior Vice President of Asset Management (Andrea Kalas) about the the restoration of King Creole and Blue Hawaii: On Spiffying Up Elvis Presley's Blue Hawaii For The 21st Century : Elvis together. Trailing a very distant second is Tom Hanks as "Colonel" Tom Parker, a role so fatally miscast -- which is twice as

Elvis 4K Audio

In terms of video quality, this comes from a digital 4.5K and 6.5K source and then received a 4K master. The 4K presentation is downright stunning all throughout and really has a lot of “pop” to it. It also features all three of the current high dynamic range types: HDR10, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+. It’s on a BD-100 and that was a wise choice for a film with a runtime of 2 hours and 39 minutes, as it never misses a beat. This looks quite wonderful in 4K here on 4K UHD Blu-ray. It's clear he was a one-of-a-kind prototype musician who was there to change music forever. Unfortunately, like a lot of talented artists, they are easily manipulated by others which resulted in Tom Parker coming aboard and orchestrating a decades-long con on Elvis that prevented him from doing what he wanted. This ultimately led to his turmoil in marriage, his addiction to drugs, and lastly his untimely, sad death. There are great moments of rebellion, his love for his child and mother, and wanting to make the best music and live performance there ever was, which Luhrmann also spotlights as well. But with its long run time and constant flashy sequences, the film can inch away from the story at hand. of course, the plethora of music cues), and serves up a strong dynamic range without necessarily making viewers adjust their volume levels more than unfortunate, since large portions of the story are told from his perspective -- that it almost derails the entire production when he's seen or Selected items are only available for delivery via the Royal Mail 48® service and other items are available for delivery using this service for a charge.

This is a Paramount release and so that comes with some baggage - but thankfully that baggage didn’t make the trip for this release. I don’t know what or why certain titles get Paramounted, but Blue Hawaii wasn’t subjected to the treatment and comes in with a glorious 2160p Dolby Vision transfer. Not only that, Paramount even beautifully recreated the film’s opening credits so they’d be up to par with the rest of the presentation. Details are terrific allowing you to fully appreciate fine lines and, facial features, and the rather silly makeup they slathered on Lansbury to make her look much older than her actual age of 36. Film grain also doesn’t look to have been throttled, tinkered with, or DNR’d into oblivion - and if a sequence has any it’s so slight you’d have to really be looking for it to notice. The story here is told from a very unique perspective with narrative all throughout from the view of Elvis’s infamous manager “Colonel Tom Parker” (portrayed here by Tom Hanks). We see Elvis’s childhood upbringing, growing up in poverty in Tupelo, Mississippi, and then eventually moving to Memphis, Tennessee. Also, you’ll see Elvis really did have love at an early age for attending and sometimes even sneaking into gospel tents to hear the music, which influenced him dearly. As a teenager and throughout Elvis is portrayed by actor Austin Butler. During his later teenage years, you’ll get to see some of Elvis’s struggle to work a job as an electrician (appropriately enough for a company called “Crown”), and see that when he’s not working he is listening to music around the historic Beale Street in Memphis, where the Blues was born. Plot: What’s it about? Video: How’s it look? Audio: How’s it sound? Supplements: What are the extras? The Bottom Line Plot: What’s it about?Extras: Language(s): English, French, Spanish, Hard of Hearing Subtitles: English, Subtitles: Danish, Finnish, French, Norwegian, Spanish, Interactive Menu, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Luhrmann has never bowed down to Hollywood executives to compromise his stunning vision in telling stories everyone knows by heart, whether it be his own version of Romeo + Juliet, a take on Moulin Rogue!, or a highly valued stylized concept of The Great Gatsby. Luhrmann knows how to set a film on fire with spectacular effects that can fully immerse his audience inside a live stage play with all the hot lights, music, and choreography to keep everyone's toes tapping. The same goes for his Elvispicture, however, Luhrmann once again takes an unconventional approach to tell this tragic tale of Elvis's life and career. With an out-of-the-world performance from Butler and a weird, yet underwhelming role for Tom Hanks, the pacing and the film's length hinder it from being completely enjoyable. But kudos to Luhrmann for doing something creative and original with this biopic that nobody saw coming - telling the hero's story from the villain's eye line. heard. (That means his makeup is about as awful as his come-and-go accent.) Combined with the aforementioned over-the-top flash of Immediately you will undoubtedly notice that the height channels are used very tastefully for mostly the music and sound effects, to help build this large sound (as mentioned) which seems very fitting about this Atmos mix. The music here, all throughout, is driven primarily from the front left & right channel speakers, along with a very nice amount of rear channel presence, and (as mentioned) across the height channel speakers.
