Separate the Purrrfect and Cat-astrophe cards and shuffle each set of cards separately. Place each set of cards face down on their corresponding spots on the gameboard.

Shuffle all of the deed cards and randomly give four to each player. They will pay the bank the cost of the properties that they were dealt. While in Water you can buy/sell properties, buy/sell Cat Houses and/or Pet Spas, and you can collect rent. All of the players roll the dice. The player who rolls the highest number goes first. The number they rolled is used to move them on their first turn. Start strong ” focus on building properties off the bat. With four cat colored token pieces and a unique property market, Cat Opoly starts out differently than other games like Monopoly so emphasize the goal of purchasing properties in the beginning of your turn ” this will free up money to use later and give you an advantage. Once you have placed four Cat Houses on each property in a color set, you can start placing Pet Spas on those spaces. The cost of the Pet Spa is printed on the deed card. You will pay the cost to the bank. You will then return the four Cat Houses from the space to the bank and replace it with the Pet Spa. Only one Pet Spa can be placed on each property. No matter how much cats love board games, they love the boxes that they are stored in even more.

Rather than properties in Monopoly, collect cat breeds, from a Manx to a Siamese and the more expensive Persian (very Park Lane), with each cat card filled with fun facts. Choose your favourite playing piece, from a ball of yarn to a sardine tin and set off, collecting litter boxes and trading them in for fish bones (of course). But try to avoid the cat-astrophe squares - you might be fined for chasing mice or have to pay dog tax to get past the bulldog. And definitely don't fall in the water and be out for three turns - nobody likes a soggy moggie! Great fun, the perfect gift to leave any cat lover feline good! If you land on the Water/Just Prowling space while moving around the board, you are safe. Make sure you place your token on the Just Prowling section. Read the card and take the corresponding action. Then return the card face down to the bottom of the Cat-astrophe pile. The player that draws this Cat-astrophe card loses their next turn. If you land on the Fall in Water space, immediately move your token to the Water space. You do not receive money for passing the Scat! space. Your turn then ends. For most destinations there is the option to select an express delivery service instead of the standard delivery.When we say it's a game for you and "your cats," we mean they'll gladly lay on top of the board game where it's inconvenient for you but very comfortable for them. When a player lands on the Free Catnip space, they will collect all of the money added to the middle of the gameboard. This money comes from spaces that players landed on as well as Cat-astrophe and Purrrfect cards. The red player landed on the Free Catnip space.
