About this deal

Eve Brown is a certified hot mess. No matter how hard she strives to do right, her life always goes horribly wrong. So she’s given up trying. But when her personal brand of chaos ruins an expensive wedding ( someonehad to liberate those poor doves), her parents draw the line. It’s time for Eve to grow up and prove herself—even though she’s not entirely sure how… Talia Hibbert is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author who lives in a bedroom full of books. Supposedly, there is a world beyond that room, but she has yet to drum up enough interest to investigate. Since every review of this - I would call it a second epilogue, more than a separate short-story - spoiled me! (Why are you doing this to me? I know it's literally in the first sentence of the story, but...) I'll keep this absolutely spoiler free, just saying that this is continuation of Eve and Jacob's story and leave it there. I was extremely excited to read this story because I love books with neurodiverse main characters. I'm really drawn to them, and I actively seek out romances with characters who are not neutrotypical. However, the intense chemistry and excellent writing is what made this story special. I love this series, and now that I’ve finished it I feel like it may become a comfort re-read. (In the very very distant future when my TBR list becomes manageable - hahahahahahaha).

The story is so cute that the heat really sneaks up on you. Talia Hibbert pulls no punches when it comes to writing her sex scenes, and I love her for it. I'm talking scorching hot chemistry. There are no silly euphemisms for sex, just enthusiastic SEX. Yes, yes, yes!

Need Help?

impressive. Eve rolled her eyes and mouthed, Men. Jacob, to her surprise, gave her a look of approval. “Quite.” “You don’t like men?” she whispered. “It depends. I don’t like imbalanced relationships, and men are frequently the perpetrators.” When she is thrown into the big world by her parents, Eve is sad. Caught up in her emotions, she drives farther than intended and comes upon a B&B. or most of my childhood, which i spent convinced i was destined to marry either joe jonas (the obvious best of the brothers) or my neighbor who once threw a snowball directly at my face — whoever showed up first. The two people work on fixing up the rooms and when they go to the storage to get more blankets and some other things, they nearly forget themselves listening to a couple of quarrels. One thing leads to another, Eve comes face to crotch with Jacob’s lower body part. And it’s huge! Tent and everything! This book features noble pining, accidental kissing in the kitchen, and realistically chaotic children.

Ok! It’s time for Eve to start living! While taking a drive she comes across a B&B in need of a new chef. Well, Eve loves to cook so why not! Only as desperate as Jacob is to fill the position, he’s reluctant to give Eve a try.

Part 1: Why Read Act Your Age, Eve Brown?

Now, I don’t want to be a complete debbie downer so I will finish this review with two things I liked about this book. First, the autism representation: both the main character and the love interest are on the spectrum, which I had never seen in a book before, and this is an own voices story. I definitely think it’s important to uplift diverse stories like this one. In addition, I laughed a couple of times while reading which made my reading experience slightly more enjoyable. Novel-length The Fake Boyfriend Fiasco spinoff. A brooding and emotional romance between a gorgeous, wealthy, super-depressed hero and the gruff, lonely fruit farmer he works under for the summer. They hate each other. Supposedly. Another aspect that really bothered is how unrealistic this book is. There is NO WAY that someone in real life would accept Eve as an employee after the horrible first impression she gave in her attempt at a job interview. And more, they certainly wouldn’t do it after she HIT THEM WITH A FREAKING CAR. Standalone, full-length novel. A fake-relationship romance between a bisexual Scandinavian prince who’s into light domination and a fed-up British office worker who is also into that, as it turns out plays his fake fiancée. Fake Relationship books are simply where it’s at in Romancelandia! This is hands-down my favorite trope. That moment when a connection of convenience turns into real feelings is the most romantic thing to me! Somehow, fake relationships make for great love stories. Have you ever had a hot stranger come up and pose as your …
